Enjoy crisp mornings and warm evenings on the spacious deck with your favorite drink in hand and simply soak up the stunning views. When everyone returns from their own kind of adventures, the wood stove, flatscreen TV, and a home-cooked meal prepared in the full kitchen will be the perfect recipe for settling down. Not to mention, breaking out a few board games in one of the two living areas (or the basement retreat that includes two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a kitchenette!) will let everyone indulge in a bit of friendly competition.

What's nearby:
Getting away from the hustle and bustle of city life is just what this home has to offer. When guests want to venture away from this private oasis, heading over to Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument will be a great way to spend an afternoon. If you are feeling adventurous, Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center offers a unique wildlife experience with wolves and guided tours. Plus, Florissant, Divide, and Woodland Park are all within 17 miles of the home base offering wonderful restaurants and breweries for a night out! Take a scenic trip to Summit County Ski Areas that include Breckenridge (78 miles), Keystone (almost 94 miles), A-Basin (96.5 miles), and Copper Mountain (95 miles). Also, you'll be close to Buena Vista for white water rafting and beautiful scenery.

Very clean rooms. We were a group of 10 and it was perfect. The only issue, rather a comment, is that the king bedroom has an attached bathroom which doesn't have a door! Thankfully a family from our group stayed there so it wasn't a big deal. Kitchen is fully equipped. Please be mindful things work weird at 8000 ft vs at sea level. We learned it the hard way. Nothing on the house though. It was beautiful in and out.

This was such a nice, well-supplied house, with lots of room for everyone to have their own space. We loved sitting on the front porch, watching the wildlife, completing puzzles, and playing foosball when we weren't out exploring CO! Thanks for making our family vacation memorable!

Mountain air

Serene setting with distant mountain views. It was conveniently located to nearby outings and was absolutely quiet and peaceful. "Becky" the deer hung out with us as we ate breakfast outside and seemed to like relaxing under the deck. Light pollution was minimal so we could clearly see the Milky Way and were lucky enough to catch a few shooting stars. The house was clean, spacious, and comfortable and we would definitely come back again.

GREAT HOUSE WITH WATER ISSUES

PLEASE READ!!!! The house is gorgeous, location is great too. My family and I (a group of 6ppl) had a great time, it had snowed the night before we got there, so it was beautiful. AWD cars are 100% recommended during winter time. We only had one issue (a big one)… as soon as you walk into the house, there is a sign that says the water in the house is coming from a well, which means you have to be EXTREMELY careful with your water usage. We knew we had to be cautious, so we took really quick showers and put all of our dirty dishes in the dishwasher (we said we would turn it on once a day). We got there on Thursday Dec 29th by 5pm, by noon on New Year’s Eve, there was no water (we also spent the whole day of Dec 30th out in Breckenridge). I tried calling a lady named Sarah on the morning of New Year’s Eve and got no response, we wanted to know if they knew how much water there was since it was only 6 of us (the house fits up to 10) and we’d had water for less than 2 days. I tried calling another number, and the guy asked another person to give me a call. The lady said if it was 6 of us and we had no water already, we needed to be extra careful and maybe not take 20min showers. We took 5min showers since the moment we stepped in the house. She also explained that during the winter it takes longer for the well to fill up because the water is frozen. We spent New Year’s Eve with no water, it was really frustrating, we were already making plans to go to a hotel the next morning to be able to shower. Thank God when we woke up on New Year’s Day water was back already, but there should be a plan b available for the guests for when the water runs out since it’s a pretty common thing. There is a washer in the house for nothing because you can’t use it with the water situation. If you’re staying in this house, make sure you bring Gallons of water on the side in case you run out of water.

Wonderful family getaway!

Secluded house with plenty of room for everyone. Beds were comfortable and the house was well stocked with towels and kitchen appliances and cookware. Really nice porch, inside and outside furnishings and the scenery was fantastic!

Nice, but beware of water situation

The house was great, but beware that water source can run out. We didn't know ahead of time that this property could run out of water. We found out upon arrival that you had to use water conservatively, so the 6 of us split up 3 showers at night & 3 others in the morning. Get in, get out showers. We ran out of water one night, after 3 showers & 1 washer load of clothes. We melted snow to fill up the toilet tanks. Thankfully, water was back the next morning. But the sign said it could take 1-3 days to build water back up. This is really the only negative thing to say about this rental. All else was good.
