This place stood up to the test for Hygge. We found it comfortable, it felt lived in but clean and tidy, everywhere we looked there was a solution for something we may need. AC? Portable unit in the closet. Cleaning supplies? Under the kitchen sink, bathroom sink, front closet, linen closet, etc. dish soap, dishwasher pods, laundry pods, dryer sheets, etc. Most all of the utensils you can think of for cooking, appliances, etc. We were so comfortable, and there are places to order from all around! Powers Blvd is 5 min away, Walmart is 7, the Imax and shops/restaurant are 15-30. But honsetly, we liked it most for how it felt like comeing to a loved one's house to rest. Being a long-time resident of Colorado Springs, this was the best Stay-cation we have had.

There were pros and cons to this location: The Cons are- that the dryer took forever to dry and probably needs the vent cleaned, no A/C, and no remote, our solution is to use your smartphone it worked just fine, with limited to types of games, and whatever cleaner they used left awful taste and smell in the house, possible lavender pods and soap (It gives me anaphylactic shock if I'm around it too long). The Pros are-Coffee but bring your own K-cups if you want something different than donut house selections, Washer/dryer, 2 rooms, 1 with a queen bed, one with bunk beds, and a third hidden pull-out bed, stove, floor a/c units, close to a lot of things to do like a WW2 museum worth the money, Pikes peak and more, oh fold out couch that could sleep 2 if needed, regular 4 cup coffee maker as well. dishwasher, lots of things to cook with, blow-up mattress, quiet area, close to a major highway(s).

Avoid this Dump

The property is literally a dilapidated 4plex at the end of a trashed out dead end circle. There was broken glass allover the street and garbage. Broken toys, trash and ragged tarps covered the adjacent properties balconies. The windows of property were taped OPEN with packing tape to secure AC window unit…which were not powered up upon arrival at 101 degrees inside. Interior is worn but tidy. My family refused to stay as the situation was not safe so we lost my prepaid $. Positive reviews are fake. Absolutely do not stay here.

We selected this property because it had great reviews, it is NOT a five star property. We were there during summer and the property had window mounted AC units in the living room and one bedroom. The room with multiple beds was sweltering hot over night and we had to move kids to a couch to sleep. The AC units were very loud and made for a rough nights sleep. The property itself is in a very undesirable neighborhood with many broken down cars on the streets and debris around the property. At night the smell of marijuana permeated the unit and the windows were forced ajar due to the AC unit. All of that said, the unit inside was clean and while not new or fancy, the unit had the basics. The parking situation was rough but the host was responsive to our concern. The host gets a good review but the property is just not a five star property.
