"Room was clean, close to airport, staff friendly"

"What is up with the good reviews? We were misled. Our first room had tattered window shades that did not work. Our second room had a poor air conditioner and amps with dead light bulbs. We asked for the room to be cleaned at least 6 times. It never hit cleaned and each request was met with either an apology or a non recognition that we asked. The bartender seemed oblivious to making drinks. The lobby was dirty and the couches in the lobby were stained. The veneer on the furniture in the room was chipped in multiple places. We asked for soap and couldn’t get it. None of this is an exaggeration. The only reason I give this 2 stars rather than 1 is because the very young staff was understaffed and there was a good bed with sheets that were unfortunately too short and came off the bed in the middle of the night. If I had the energy, I would ask for a refund. Yet, I believe I would simply receive the blanks looks we got for making basic requests like for room cleaning and soap. This hotel looks like a relic from the 70’s that’s never been redone and is a few years from going down."

"The pool is probably the best part. It kept my kids entertained for hours because of the slide. BUT... for us adults, the first day, there were signs up that the hottub was out of order. They fixed whatever the problem was, but forgot to skim the top of the water leaving bristles in the hot tub. The food in the morning is mediocre. Little seating, dining room feels like a really bad staff break room, the juice was out, no one to help and the hot food was all microwaved (you could see in the "kitchen" which was more like a utility closet). The room was big, and to our surprise the queen's we were supposed to have were actually king size, but... they need new mattresses. Somehow we got the same room as last year and the bed was the same. When you sat on it, the bed just dipped wayyy too low. Back pains for mom and dad. You can tell people sit there as they watch television. If you go through Expedia you will have to pay a resort fee $10 a day? On top of pay for parking, $10 a day. But you're right next to the Glenwood caverns and adventure park, so, kind of understandable. If you don't like dogs or their barking, make a request early to not be roomed next to a barking dog. They don't keep the dogs all on one floor like most hotels. Really needs a remodel, especially for where it's located."

"Our first trip to Boulder we were a bit unsure where to stay. We ended up choosing the Boulderado because of the location. I’m so glad that we did. From start to finish we were treated like royalty. The valet attendants were friendly and so very helpful with directions and suggestions of where to eat, shop and take road trips. Sweet sweet people. The desk employees were equally accommodating. The hotel itself is clean, charming and comfortable. The location to Pearl St was perfect. We had a great visit and will return."
