The check in was good, however after a long day of working had come to motel to shower and go to bed, found that after I got into bed my bed clothes had become wet. After pulling down the covers and removing the mattress pad, someone had urinated thru the mattress pad and onto the mattress, the smell was awful, they had relocate us to another motel at 9PM, since no other rooms were available, there is no way that housekeeping should not have noticed this when putting on clean sheets or even the odor. After moving to another facility had to shower again to remove the smell.

The hotel was undergoing drastic construction throughout the whole hotel, and specifically on floor 2, on which we stayed. We were in town for a wedding and ended up staying in a construction zone. With dust, dirt, and paint fumes throughout our whole stay, it was very unpleasant, and we should have been made aware prior to our stay so we could have made alternate arrangements. I find it completely unfair and unprofessional to have to pay full price for a room and stay when the hotel was 50% complete. I would like, at the very least, a partial refund for having to stay in a partially completed hotel without prior knowledge. It put a hindrance on our whole weekend and would have been avoided if we had been aware of the state of the hotel.

This location is undergoing a major renovation and, for whatever reason, we were initially put into a room that had not been touched yet. It was disgusting, both in odor and appearance... something I imagine when people talk about a motel charging by the hour. We spoke with the evening desk clerk on Thanksgiving Day and she relocated us to a renovated room. She prevented us from complaining further up the chain (I definitely would have) and saved our trip. She couldn't have been nicer and is exactly the employee this location should have representing it. There was a problem and she solved it. Done. Thank you! The lower star rating is for the hotel ever putting us in that initial room when updated rooms were available.
