  • The second oldest building remaining on The Ohio State University campus, Orton Hall was opened in 1893. It is named after Dr Edward Orton, Sr. who served as Ohio State's first president, OSU Professor of Geology from 1873 to 1899, and Ohio's State Geologist from 1882 until his death in 1899. Convenient access

Easy to get in and out of the building. Lots of parking close to the building. Centralized to all of the places that we visited.

Good location

This apartment was near locations we were traveling to so it was a good choice for that. The property did not have a lot of items normally found in a rental, like kitchen items and stocked bathrooms, but for our purposes it was okay. For someone spending more time in the property, this might be an issue. Apartment could use a more thorough cleaning.

Location was great and very secure but the condo needs some TLC. The railing on the steps going up had tape to hold the top rail, the walls have hole marks from decorations being taken down and the kitchen floor had crumbs on it. The beds and bathrooms were clean. Needs painted and a good cleaning.

Convenient

Location was perfect for our needs. Apartment was surface cleaned, however there were stains in the carpet. They had towels for 6 but only a couple wash clothes and no kitchen towels or oven mitts, or pool towels so pack some extra. Pool was not opened as site had indicated, so we didn’t get to use it even though it is one of the reasons we picked this apartment, it finally opened the last day we were there. The parking garage was convenient but not the overflow lots. Overall it was acceptable, but a bit disappointing.

Columbus unmaintained dump.

The first problem with this place was entering. The key fob opened the door about 25% of the time. Didn’t really matter because the other side of the double door didn’t lock. (security issue) The furnace didn’t work. Mold and mildew in both showers. Master bath sink extremely slow to drain.Various light bulbs burnt out. Washing machine was filthy and appeared to have mold and mildew. It also smelled. Filth and dirt all over the floor around washer. Boards with nails next to washer. Patio door didn’t lock. Paint coming off railing to the upstairs. Bolts falling out of the railing to the upstairs.Dishes were wet and unclean. Water leaking around the upstairs bedroom window causing mold and mildew. I left after one night and demanding my money be refunded. I would not ever get anywhere near this unit or this building again as I am sure the maintenance is about the same
