BIG PAPA'S PARADISE ON LAKE BLACKSHEAR

Welcome to our 2 bedroom one bath open concept lakefront home. Comfortably sleeps 6. One queen and 2 double beds. You will find plenty of space to relax and unwind from the day to day grind! Big papa’s paradise is located on the Lincolm Pinch. Just a few minutes drive from Ga Veterans State Park and the Lake Blackshear Golf Club and Marina, for golfing or boat rentals. The home is nestled in a gorgeous quiet no wake cove just off the main lake. When the main lake is white capping, the cove is calm and tranquil. If you’re boat is tied up at the boathouse it will not get battered.
There is a fully stocked kitchen including a new Keurig K-Duo hot and cold coffee maker.
New 4K smart tvs, fiber WiFi, HULU+ livetv,Disney+,& ESPN+ provided. Books for relaxed reading in the large screened porch. Games for the whole family including new corn hole boards. Plenty of flat yards to play on. The expansive covered boathouse is a fantastic place for fishing or gathering under the breeze of the ceiling fans.
Our aim is to be as family friendly as possible. This is a quiet neighborhood with awesome, friendly, full time resident neighbors. We ask for your respect for their privacy. Therefore, renters must be 25 years or older. No large gathering, parties etc. No RVs, Campers, tents etc. Violation will result in immediate termination of the rental agreement with NO REFUND.

  • Joseph Winthrop Holley, born in 1874 to former slaves in Winnsboro, South Carolina, founded the institution in 1903 as the Albany Bible and Manual Training Institute. W. E. B. Du Bois inspired Holley to return to the South after he read Du Bois's writings on the plight of Albany's blacks in The Souls of Black Folk. Holley relocated to Albany to start a school. With the help of a $2,600 gift from the Hazard family, Holley organized a board of trustees and purchased 50 acres (200,000 m2) of land for the campus, all within a year. The aim of the institution at the time was to provide elementary education and teacher training for the local Black population. It was turned over to the state of Georgia in 1917 as Georgia Normal and Agricultural College, a two-year agricultural and teacher-training institution. In 1932, the school became part of the University System of Georgia and in 1943 it was granted four-year status and renamed Albany State College. The transition to four-year status heavily increased the school's enrollment. In 1981 the college offered its first graduate program, a prelude to the school being upgraded to university status in 1996.

This little beauty was just as described! We enjoyed our little weekend getaway together! Such a peaceful time on the dock listening to the birds and watching the ducks and geese swim by. Can’t wait to go back again!

Charming Home

This place truly feels like a home away from home. The owners have gone above and beyond to create a warm, welcoming environment—far from the typical hotel experience. The location is excellent, with many convenient amenities. The spacious backyard provides plenty of privacy, and the screened-in porch is an outstanding feature for relaxing outdoors. The owners are also fantastic communicators, always responding promptly and helpfully. Highly recommended!

Pleasant Experience

It was truly a delightful experience! The home was not only cozy but also thoughtfully equipped with all the necessary amenities. Fishing off the dock with my husband and sons provided a level of relaxation I hadn't experienced in quite some time. The morning coffee in the sunroom was particularly enjoyable. The location was excellent, and we were fortunate to have such a wonderful host!
