Very nice stay! The lounge is great, remindful of dance hall, speak-easy days. Staff was very helpful and the views are impressive. Would stay her again for sure!
Check in information was provided via email the day of check in. I was able to enter the hotel and my room without a problem. The hotel staff was responsive and helpful via text messages.
The inside of our room was very comfortable, the staff left a few complementary drinks and snack in the room for us which was very much appreciated. The room had a home feeling to it which made for a comfortable stay.
The location was safe, quiet and had lovely mountain side views. This location was close to many popular hiking spots in the area we had a lot of fun.
The cutest spot! Quaint and retro with SPECTCULAR views on the far side of the building. Truly loved Katie’s service and was even surprised by the sweet little continental breakfast with coffee and team they provided the morning we checked out.
Our stay at The Perch Hotel was just what we needed as a getaway from Manhattan. The main areas and rooms have so much charm, the area is super quiet, and has amazing views. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. As a hotel under new ownership, I think they will continue to improve the spaces.
What a wonderful boutique hotel. If you don’t want to stay in an overpriced Airbnb, but you also don’t like corporate hotels, check out a hotel like the Perch. The owners have done a great job decorating the place with a mid-century cool vibe. The wraparound deck is an amazing place to drink your coffee and read your book. The morning coffee and light breakfast is perfect.
I was only here for 1 night but it was a lovely experience. The staff is very nice and answered all my curious questions, the VIEW is one of the best you’ll find in the Catskills. The air purifier and sound machine in the room was a very nice touch! Things I have at home so nice to have at a spot away!
Arrived at 3, room wasn’t ready till almost 4
Room was nice but bed was hard. Also no hairdryer. I was told that would need to be requested. I travel often and have always had a hairdryer in the room. Staff was friendly and pleasant. I would stay again
This place is gorgeous. It’s a mid century hotel with rustic touches. Very inviting, very relaxing. Takes you back to calmer easier times. Huge great room with lots of windows, a fireplace and a bar. Large deck has rocking chairs, a fire pit and quite the view, it overlooks 5 states. The new owner was on site and he’s proud of what he has there as he should be, I’ve been all over this country and never been to such a relaxing place. He plans to open a restaurant soon within the hotel. The bedrooms have been complete renovated. Brand new everything. Bed is very comfortable and the linens are high end. If you need anything the staff has got you covered. Make sure to book a room with a view of the valley to see the beautiful sunrise, however if those are booked you will still have an amazing view from the great room. They served coffee fruit and tea bread in the great room for breakfast. It’s the little touches that really matter We will definitely be back!
This place is a MUST stay!!
Such an amazing stay at the Perch - beautiful place with spacious rooms and a super cozy vibe. We felt right at home upon arrival and can’t wait to venture back again in the near future. Definitely recommend staying here!!
**Premium Pricing Without Premium Service**
This was our second stay at The Perch for Maker Camp, and unfortunately, our second disappointing experience.
Last year we paid approximately $1,200 for two nights. This year, nearly $2,000 for the same room. Despite the significant price increase, the experience remained underwhelming.
Both years, our promised 3 PM check-in codes never arrived, requiring us to call late in the evening just to access the property. There is no traditional front desk or evening staff on-site.
The hotel markets itself as a boutique experience, yet the building shows its age, temperature cannot be adjusted without using an outdated AC unit or opening windows, and our requested air purifier wasn't even plugged in.
Most disappointing was discovering that daily housekeeping wasn't included. This wasn't clearly disclosed during Expedia's booking process. We returned after a full day out untouched trash, including food we'd have removed had we known.
At nearly $1,000 per night, these shortcomings are difficult to justify. Especially when the same room is advertised for approximately $300–$400 on another October weekend.
I contacted Expedia seeking a partial refund, but my request was denied.
As a small business owner, I don't leave negative reviews lightly. I understand demand-based pricing, but premium rates should come with premium service. I genuinely wanted to love this hotel, but after two stays, I'm left incredibly disappointed
