  • One of the northernmost towns along the coast in North Carolina, Duck is an idyllic town on the shores of the Currituck Sound. This shot was taken from the town's boardwalk while looking West over the sounds. It is advisable to visit the location in Winter as that is off season - so you can spend more time taking in the beauty of the North Carolina coastline and also sunsets are usually much more picturesque around the time owing to the cooler temperatures and lower amount of atmospheric haze. Plenty of things around Duck to see. Further north, there is the Currituck Lighthouse where you can climb the steps to the top of the lighthouse. North of Corolla, there is an area where you can drive along the coast on the sand - 4X4s a must. Here you can spot some Spanish Mustangs, horses out in the wild. If you're lucky, you can spot them running along the beach in the surf. I'd recommend taking a tour through the Corolla Wild Horse Fund - the money from the tours is used to help the wild horses in every which way possible and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Great beach vacation

We had a great stay at Harbor View! The house was perfect and fit the listing as described. It's in a nice location with an easy walk to the beach. Elissa was a fantastic host! We would absolutely recommend!

We decided to celebrate our youngest child’s sweet 16 and another’s Highschool graduation with a trip to OBX. Check-in was super easy and everything was extremely well stocked! We arrived later in the day so this was very much appreciated as we didn’t need to run right out and get anything to supplement our initial night at the house. This is our third trip to OBX and this home was one of our favorites! The house is perfectly situated between shopping, sightseeing and the beach. We loved having the pool to relax in whenever we chose. Everything in the home was clean and in great condition. And the house itself provided plenty of room for my husband and I along with our five teenage/adult children and our little Layla a toy poodle. One of our favorite things was eating dinner on the upper deck together overlooking the bay and enjoying the breeze. The hosts are amazing, always there to answer all questions and have thought of everything to make your stay enjoyable and memorable! We highly recommend this home and hope to return next year! Thank you for a wonderful memorable vacation!!
