Close to the beach

This house is very close to the beach but you don’t really have access to walk to it unless the gate is open (we aren’t given a password). It sleeps 8 comfortably… little kids would be ok on the futons but bedding was not provided. The mosquitos are very bad, bring bug spray!!! And be aware that the first level sleeps four and the other beds are downstairs with a different door (no access from upstairs) this would be hard with young kids. Overall we still had a good stay.

Seas The Day

The floors were really dirty when we got there and few other small things randomly broke on their own, like a sliding door handle that wasn’t actually attached and the dishwasher, but all in all it was a good place to stay. This is our second time staying at Lost Colony and will keep staying. We had a great time.

Short walk to beach

We enjoyed the house that was just a short walk to the beach. It was in a nice neighborhood that felt safe. The house could use a good cleaning and maintenance. We recommend.

Enjoyed our stay

We really enjoyed this house. We separated the house. The group who liked to stay up late and the early to rise were able to be separated so not to bother anyone, but still close to enjoy each other throughout the day. The house is close enough to the beach and to town. If you don’t like stairs, do not stay here. It is a good walk to the beach, probably about 10 minutes but totally worth it. The small pool was clean and comfortable for a small group.

Great house given a weekends worth of work

Let me specify the house was nice, but it could use some overdue maintenance. The downstairs air grill is holding on for dear life, the downstairs bathroom door was damaged, and at the upstairs bar a previous guest shoved a chair into the dry wall. Other than that, the house was in good shape and I had a great time. Just hard to pay this much for a weekend and see damaged property out the gate.

The home was beautiful and spacious. The air conditioner was great! The neighborhood was nice and quiet. The beach access was amazing. We actually met with a realtor during our stay and discussed investing in the area. That's how wonderful this area was. The home would be great and we would rent it again, if these minor hindrance were to be improved. These were minor inconveniences and we worked through them- it didn't hinder our stay, but adding all the minor inconveniences becomes a major problem, maybe not for us but others. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your wonderful home! 😃🙂

Beach getaway

Great location. Walking distance to beach. Nice pools in the community. AC works great and back porch set up nice for relaxing with ocean breezes. Plenty of TVs. Stairs and side porches needing some repairs. Getting unsafe. Floors in upstairs unit very dirty. Found hair and tar left from previous vacationers. Units need updated bath mats and dish towels need to be in kitchens. Upstairs refrigerator door does not stay closed well. But even though few inconveniences, we always have a great time in Port Aransas Lost Colony.

Last minute trip

House needs a little update but overall location to pool and beach was great, enough parking for 4 vehicles and staff were very helpful for minor repair issues.

House did not have a beach view but was in a convenient location to get to the beach. House was comfortable but could use some bathroom updates. Would have liked a little later check out time on departure day. The ten AM check out is a little early making everyone rush to leave. Being a pet friendly location is a plus for people traveling with pets. The description said it had easy access to the board walk but not really sure about that due to the gated portion of the community at the end of the street.Overall would give the property a three star rating.

Family vacation

We loved the fact that this house is within walking distance of the beach and is in an area that isn’t overly crowded. The house was clean. The kids liked the fact they had their own area downstairs. The downstairs door handle does need to be fixed because it is loose and the door stuck on is a couple of times. But overall it was a nice stay.

Family vacay

The house was what we expected. Was very clean and the kitchen had plenty of dishes and pans. We did struggle with the downstairs door a little. The handle is loose and the door didn’t always shut easily and twice it stuck and it took us a little bit to get it open. Overall it worked well for us.

Fun Time At Port Aransas

The online pictures of this unit did not portray the property well. However when we arrived, we were very impressed. The place was very clean, it was well furnished inside and out. The beds were very comfortable and the pillows were perfect, unlike a lot of places we have stayed. The kitchen was well stocked with just about anything you would need to cook whatever you wanted to cook, pots, pans, plates, platters, knives, Oct. All you need is the groceries. There was boogie boards and other beach toys for the kids. It was obvious that the owners put a lot of thought into making the stay as pleasant as possible. Thank you for all you have done to make this vacation a memory we will have for a lifetime.

Unit is nicely decorated & property was good. AC could have been better at keeping unit cool. Biggest disappointment was cleanliness of unit (sheets in Master bed dirty!). Outside area (cigarette butts and hair balls). Bottom door handle still very loose, needs to be fixed/tighten (past issue still not corrected). Property Manager just needs to give Seas the Day a real good cleaning inside & out. Main floor toilets very slow to flush. You will need to hold the handle down for a while.

Great home! Direct walking access to beach. Roomy, well-maintained, comfortable. We had a blast fishing, swimming, sunning, sandcastling, and relaxing with our teenagers.

Fun time

Great stay overall a wonderful time was had, however many dishes were dirty when we arrived and several of the ones that were put away were also dirty, no problems with getting in and a beautiful well lit home however when we arrived we noticed sand already on the floor and old snacks left in between seats of the sofa. The convenience of the boardwalk was nice and help for beach excursions and the kitchen was well stocked with tools and cutlery.
