This is a VRBO property which dulled my usual Expedia experience. Due to not enough characters here is summary: Short power shut offs bc rain, water leaks, property labeled as pet friendly but isn't w/o fee, street cats in lot, poor ventilation, flies,etc
The photos are accurate and the property was clean. We noticed water seeping in through the back door that is very close to the bed. My wife got up in the middle of the night and stepped on the small pool. Additionally, the side path flooded. Though it drained relatively quick.
Since we got to the property 30-40 minutes early, I contacted the host to see if we'd be able to enter a few minutes early to get out of the rain before it got worse. The host ghosted me. I messaged back and told them to disregard.
The host didn't contact me until checkout to implicate that I had "snuck" my dog in and that I had failed to disclose his presence followed by an up charge for this.
I'm a veteran and my dog is an ESA. If Expedia would've told me to disclose this before the purchase I would've submitted my docs and skipped the pet fee.
The only notice I got of this disclosure was from the host upon check out. Host implied that it's in the initial contract after you execute your non-refundable booking and they send over the verification forms. At that point, you are stuck with cancelling or paying added pet fee $$$
All in all, costs too much for one night. I do regret booking here since I could've booked something way better for that amount
