Fun Fishing Weekend

Quick weekend trip

We loved this property. The house accommodated all 7 of us easily. The view of the water right outside our door was beautiful. We also had our dogs with us so the fenced yard was an added bonus! I would recommend this to friends and definitely stay here again.

Clean home, great for pets & kids!

House was clean & accommodated our family well. It was perfect for night fishing, off the dock. We would definitely rent again. Note the rooms are bright in the morning as not all bedroom windows have curtains.

Beautiful Home on the Intercostal

Great house w lots of space. Nice kitchen space w lots of extras--my adult kids were over the moon excited about the waffle maker The refrigerator/freezer leave a bit to be desired...no ICE maker is an inconvenience when it's 100 degrees and your staying a couple of days or a week. At this price point per day, I think an ice maker is in order.

Perfect home with amazing waterfront views!!!

We loved this home! The large windows all across the back of the home took in the beautiful water views and sunrises! We were even lucky enough to stay during full moon, which cast an amazing glow across the water. The large kitchen allowed several of us to cook our meals together with plenty of space. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. And I can’t say enough about the beautiful coastal decor! And our family enjoyed fishing from the boat dock! Perfect home on the coast !!!

Family fishing trip

Great location on ICW. Was very windy but was still able to fish Estes flats and Redfish bay right behind the house and caught multiple redfish and trout during the day, and plenty of trout off the lights at night. If you do choose to utilize the boat lift, I would recommend getting specific dimensions of the lift, as we had some trouble with the lift, but ultimately were able to get it squared away. Very neat and updated interior.

Perfection in every way!

Where do I Begin. The pictures do not do this beautiful home justice. The view. The decor. The cleanest VRBO we’ve ever rented. Kitchen was fully stocked from pots and pans, cooking & bbq utensils, coffee make and even a blender. Check-in and out process was seamless. Definitely recommend and will absolutely be back next year!

Another Thanksgiving at Tortuga Sunrise

This is the 3rd year we've booked Tortuga Sunrise for Thanksgiving and again we were just as satisfied with our stay as we were 3 years ago. We were lucky enough to enjoy a couple of unusually calm days with no wind, making the bay almost glassy. We caught a lot of speckled trout under the green light on the pier -- no keepers, but it was a lot of fun catching fish. I always bring a puzzle with me, and the huge dining room table makes for a great work surface. One of my favorites is seeing the massive ships passing by at night, I always wonder where they're on their way to and what they might be carrying. We only ate out twice. Once we got to go orders from Shempy's (practically just across the highway) and one night ate at 495 Chesapeake Eats in downtown Rockport. They have an extensive bourbon menu which drew my husband's attention, but the food was fantastic too. We scored some art at a local shop in downtown Rockport, that thankfully just fit inside the cab of our truck to get it home. Can't wait to get back again next year!

BEAUTIFUL HOME AND LOCATION

Our family absolutely loved our stay at this property. Not only was it spacious and super clean--the home is located right on the bay. The sunrises and sunsets were amazing. We will definitely book this home in the future.

Registration

Registration process is voluminous, laborious, overboard, and too many emails. The person renting has to accomplish a lot as a renter before ever being Accepted. Too many emails. Appreciated Very Much the call from Michelle indicating we could check in early. Driving to office to obtain key??????????????????

Had a great time for fishing trip.

This house was great! The location is perfect. We had a group of guys kayak and boat fishing and we were able to go straight out into the bay in front of the house. The house had plenty of room and was very comfortable. The kitchen was supplied very well. We didn’t catch anything of significance off the dock but we still had fun sitting on the dock fishing at night.

Great getaway

The property and home are fantastic. The unobstructed sunrise view every morning is special. Lovely bird, boat and porpoise watching from the back deck. The home is extremely well-appointed with everything you need. (We brought shampoo, conditioner and soap for the shower which was a good call). Wonderful kitchen/dining/living great room with excellent light and views. Kitchen setup and gear are some of the best we have experienced through VRBO. 10-15 minute drive to full-size grocery store (HEB), and restaurants. 12 minute drive to very cute downtown Rockport and nice public beach. Property Management team were friendly and helpful although we had no real needs during our stay. Check-in and check-out was swift and really easy. We will be back to this property.

Great weekend getaway

Beautiful property with your own private dock for fishing if you're into that. The house is super clean, large and comfy. Also a great location, right in between Rockport and Port Aransas so you can enjoy two different beaches of your choosing. Will definitely be looking to stay here again next time we are in the area.

Tortuga Sunrise = tranquillity

This house surpassed our expectations. Immediately when you drive up the view makes your jaw drop. After going up a few stairs... the house is out of an HGTV show! The decorations are beach themed in a beautiful way. You can tell the owner has hand selected unique pieces to add to the charm of the house. Everything you need to cook and serve are conveniently located in nicely labeled drawers - pots, pans, serving dishes, bbq items, silverware, etc... The house also has wall to wall windows which gives you an amazing view of the sunrise and moon! All bedrooms are nicely decorated with comfy bedding and the bathrooms are pretty too. Outside you will find a swing under the patio that gets fabulous sea breezes - we spent hours on that swing enjoying the view. The yard is lovely with thick green grass and is fenced in which was perfect for our dog. The dock is equipped with a green light which is great for night fishing! The sweet neighbor told us to just drop our lines right off the dock to catch lots of fish and that is exactly what we did! We caught tons of fish - most were little but I caught a big red fish just by dropping my line. One of our favorite things to do was watch the cargo ships go by! Some were as long as a football field! We come to the Rockport area 2-3 times a year and this house was by far our favorite we have stayed in. We will be back!!!
