We had a wonderful vacation at the Villa Giare. The villa and the huge garden were even much nicer as displayed in the pictures. Every apartment has bis own charm and the vatastic view from the garden was impressive from early in the morning untill late at night. The little village Fratticciola is really beautiful and the near by the must see town Cortona. The Host was very Friendly and did help us a lot to make this vacation very special. We really want to come again to this special place.

Wonderful garden and view, overcautious owner

We had a great week with 23 friends at Fratticciola. The garden, pool and view are great. Cortona and supermarkets are just a short drive away. There is a little winery nearby where we had a very nice and personal wine tasting. Some aspects lowered the good impression. The owner was overcautious and had a lot of strict rules which are not realistic for a house for such big groups. Some toilets smelled very bad. The dish washer didn’t work well, so we had to do most of the dishes by hand.

17 of us stayed for a week mid August. Weather was 30-35 degrees. The villa is impressive, the accommodation is spacious and the views are magnificent. It is very well located for Cortona, vineyards and Siena, San Gimi and further afield. The host, Isolina, is an absolute gem and is very helpful for suggestions. We recommend guests have at least one home breakfast and one dinner. Understand some of the rooms will be updated soon. Careful of using the expensive air conditioning. We throughly recommend this villa for a large group.
