“Very comfortable, close to pubs and restaurants, friendly hosts”

“We loved our stay! The farmhouse was so quaint and vintage and was just what we were looking for. The staff/owner was lovely, pleasant and accommodating. The classic English breakfast was delicious, especially with the recently made homemade jam. Our only issue was gps routing us in a wrong direction and not realizing the entrance was through the gate that was closed. The online map said it was .9 of a mile from the city center of Castle Combe, which is true if you walk it. That turned out……

“We had a lovely large room and en-suite bathroom at Laurel House. Our bed was very comfortable and the room had tea making facilities also. Our hosts Gilly and Hugh provided a wide range of choices for breakfast including healthy options and fresh fruit. The dining room overlooks a lovely garden and off-street parking was available. The house is within walking distance of the town centre, though we are not fast walkers so usually took about 25mins.”

“Exceptional B&B in Beautiful English Countryside We were looking for a scenic place to rest up after our overnight flight to the UK from the USA and found this amazing place. Located in a beautiful, rural area with plenty to see and experience nearby. The property is stunning and very well-maintained. John and Elizabeth were amazing hosts. “The view from our terrace room was across the green and rolling hills, with scattered sheep and a few stone farm house. Very pleasant. The room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable and the temperature in the room just right. The breakfast Jeanina cooked was excellent. The B&B host went out of his way to get us to and from a working bus stop since the road was closed and buses not going through the village. So super helpful. ”

“Host communication is very good. Location and amenities excellent. Would book again. Be aware that the ally leading to the accommodation is scruffy but the cottage is in a little quiet oasis. ”
