The check-in process, the location, and the cottage were all great. The cottage is in a great location for activities, meals, or just relaxing. The home was extremely clean and everything we needed was available.

Short but very pleasant get away over the 4th

Nice little cottage with all the amentities you need and a very responsive property manager. Very short drive to Lake Moomaw and any shopping or dining you desire. Lots of areas to explore. We make this an annual stop for a reason as our whole family to include our pups get a break from DC life.

Cute Cottage

Very cute, cozy cottage. Great place to go to get away from your fast paced everyday life. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed the holiday weekend here. We will definitely come back and stay again. Thanks Beth!!

Long Weekend in Bath County

We had a great long weekend in Bath County. We were traveling with a senior citizen with some mobility issues and it was just a few steps from the parking area to the door and just a couple of small steps to enter the house. We had four adults and two dogs on this trip and the house and location were great.

We really enjoy this cottage. It is our second stay here. We did have an issue with the coffee maker. For some reason we were unable to get it to work. Also we might suggest that you leave a full roll of tp for every stay.

Clean and Friendly

Had a wonderful stay. Beth called the day before I was to arrive, explained I was arriving late and on my own. She advised me of the code to get in the door and left my packet at the home. Graciously, left extra lights on for me. The home was very clean as well as several items in the kitchen to use and bathroom was well stocked with towels.

Sweet stop over

We stayed in this sweet cottage on the way to a destination further south. It was lovely and has everything you will need for a couple of nights. The thoughtfulness to have of all the essentials provided made for an easy arrival. We were grateful for such a soft landing. This is a beautiful part of the country and offers a spectacular landscape and natural beauty. We spent a day at Lake Moomaw, it was peaceful, water so clear you can see to the bottom. People everywhere were friendly, hardworking, kind. AND you are very much in the rural south with confederate flags still prominent, whether in Bacova or along country roads. Thank you for a great stay.

Peace and quiet

This was our third stay and we enjoy this little get-a-way from the NCR. The area is really beautiful and coming back to the little cottage vice a hotel is so much better. Until next time!

The house was as described. Very clean, comfortable temperatures, etc.

Our major complaint was the queen size bed was as hard as a rock and made sleeping even with an extra foam pad very uncomfortable. Maybe that works for some, but it was the main reason we left a day early.

Everything was clean. We had a great time. Well furnished, and enjoyed the fire pit. We especially appreciated the welcome packet with the directions to the house, places to eat, weather info. for the time of our stay.

Second stay, same great experience

This was our second time staying at the cottage and had a great time once again. Close to get to anything you would like to do, but far enough away for great peace and quiet while allowing close access to the near by lake and rivers. Highly recommended!

Excellent trip

Immaculate house which appeared to be newly renovated. Close to Douthat State Parl and tons of other amazing lakes and hiking. Would definitely recommend!
