Unsure if family owned, but everyone was relatively young which was nice to see. We arrived late and the young man at the front was chill and straightforward, he was also awake before we were awake, and was trimming the weeds on the property which shows that they take care of the place. It also felt super safe and is very well lit. As for the rooms, they were clean and had the basics: a fridge, a microwave, and a shower all clean. The theme of the place is super cool and sets you in the zone for the surrounding area of the woods. Also a great halfway point between Crater Lake and Mount Hood at a great value. It’s not too far from Bend either, I would stay here again

Definitely a unique property all decked out in “woodsman stuff”. One floor is nice. We had a deluxe room, which could definitely pass as an efficiency apartment. In fact, the chest of drawers was full of clothes and mail! Not just one item left behind, full. There was no flatware except two (2) forks and a can opener. When asking at the office, which appeared to be a small area off a living space, about flatware, she replied, “weren’t there two forks?” Uhhh, that was it. She gave us a pack of plastic ware. We were grateful for that by then! The room was tidy and included a large jacuzzi that was nice. I would suggest that experienced travelers would appreciate the “ambiance”.

Stayed in room 16 and it was beautiful! Everything was clean and ready. The shower curtain rod needs to be attached to the wall better and the toilet wasn’t stable but the rest of the room made up for those things

Clean comfortable little room. GREAT bed and pillows etc. Needlessly complicated TV. The Clerk who sorted it out for me was a saint! The TV service in that part of the country at that motel has Always been like that. But once sorted out has been fine. All else was excellent and quaint! :)

Room was spacious, clean and comfortable, though we could use more sockets for chargers. Bathroom was clean but a bit worn out. There were toiletries in the bathroom. We liked the decor: a charming old country style. And I appreciated a par of chairs outside our room. One lamp in the room wasn’t working but it was promptly fixed by a nice and helpful guy from the reception. There was a temporary internet outage but immediately an access to starlink was provided and it was fast enough. We had burgers/beers in a tavern accross the road - very convenient, 50 yards from our room. I’ll definitely stay there if again in the area. Since it is a motel, we could park our car in front of the room.

The room was pleasant enough except the heater would not work and it was only 25° outside. I never got any sleep and I was freezing cold all night. There was no extra blanket and I finally got up and left.
