Simply Irresistible: Authentic Log Cabin

The mountain views and privacy this genuine log cabin offers are irresistible. From the quaint drive along a country road through the woods, you will often pass cattle before you are welcomed with the site of hand-made rocking chairs and hot tub on a full porch. Once inside, you will feel warm and cozy surrounded by 200 year old timber walls, comfortable furniture, and a gas-burning fireplace. The kitchen is large and very well-equipped for cooking, baking, and gathering together. The main floor master bedroom offers a luxurious king size bed, while a second bedroom offers a queen bed. Upstairs you’ll find a large bedroom with two twin beds and one queen bed, as well as an en suite bathroom with a beautiful slipper tub. While rustic in decor, this cabin offers all the modern amenities for those who still need connection: fast WI-FI, unlimited domestic phone service, and satellite TV. Approx 30 minutes (19mi) to Boone or Jefferson (22mi), and only 22 minutes to Mountain City, TN (11mi). Approx. One Hour (33 miles) to popular ski hills. There are three security cameras on the property, covering the front yard, back yard, and front door.

Family Wedding in Mountain City

It was everything we were hoping for! Peace and quiet, various activities for the family, like hot tub, foosball, and plenty of land for hiking. We attended a family wedding at a venue nearby, but most of our time was spent at the VRBO property and it was heaven! Owners were very easy to get a hold of and quick to respond with someone nearby if we needed a face-to-face as we did. We would definitely stay again

We enjoyed our quiet and restful time at this wonderful cabin. It was interesting to walk through the cabin and see the pictures, sculptures and old appliances. The spacious kitchen was a special highlight allowing for plenty of room to move around. We picked a perfect time to visit with the Fall colors just starting to show from the nice view in the Sunroom. Draco, our German Shepherd, especially liked this location so he could watch the cows. :-) The best I can say is that this will become our repeat destination and we look forward to touring more of the area in the future.

Amazing cabin

My wife and kids stayed the weekend at this cabin and words can’t explain how nice the cabin is and it’s secluded but still only 20 minutes to town if you need anything. Can’t wait to stay again!!

There was supposed to be a working fire place but couldn’t find a way to turn on the gas fire place. The guide said a remote could be found on the mantle but there wasn’t a remote to be found for the fire place. Other than that we had a wonderful time staying in the mountain cabin. Relaxing and accommodating

The cabin was perfect for our girl’s trip with 6 adults. It was very well equipped with things we needed. The host was quick to respond with the minor trouble we had with the lock upon arrival. We would stay again without hesitation.

Amazing cabin!

By far the best cabin we have stayed in! It was very clean and spacious. The kitchen is amazing! Spent lots of time in the hot tub and around the fire pit! Would definitely recommend for a relaxing vacation!

25th anniversary celebration

We had a wonderful vacation and really enjoyed the hot tub! The kitchen had everything that we needed and the beds were supper comfy. The cabin is amazing and very unique. Loved the photos of the transformation! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful cabin with us.

AMAZING!!!

Let me just say, the pictures don’t even do this place justice. My family and I sworn Christmas here and it was all we could have ever wanted and more. The cabin is charming, clean and just secluded enough. Host was attentive, kind and made our stay feel extra special. If you’re looking for a cabin in NC, I couldn’t recommend this place more. We will absolutely be back :)

The cabin was beautiful as well as its surroundings, absolutely breathtaking!! We drove over to visit our daughter in Boone the only drawback was the excessive distance between Boone and Creston, otherwise it was an excellent stay.

Hidden Gem

The pictures for this property do not do it justice. My partner and I and our two dogs had more room than we needed and had an incredible time here. Any questions we had were answered very promptly and we had no issues whatsoever. We would absolutely stay here again.

Honestly Magical

We loved everything about this stay. Pictures don't do it justice! Property was clean and well maintained, spacious enough for our extended family of 5, and just absolutely beautiful. Kitchen and hottub were special highlights. 35minutes from both Boone and West Jefferson, and easy to just relax into the home and land. Visits from cows were an added perk!

Relaxing get-away

Beautiful house and property. We loved sitting on the front porch and watching the ever changing view of the mountains. Everything was so lush and green with lots of wildflowers, we picked bouquets to put on the table. The lane by the house was great for daily walks. Loved the sounds of the brook. We took lots of hikes and explored some of the little towns nearby. Just an all around lovely vacation.

My wife and I stayed at this cabin in 2021 and decided to go back in 2024. My Wife claimed the sun room as before. The set up is good for us. The kitchen is large with lots of counter space and all the appliances are in good order. The grill and hot tub were upgraded since our prior visit. We had another excellent experience and would not hesitate to book this property again! The view is great and the privacy is also. Our 2 dogs had a good time also.

Mountain Getaway

The cabin was as described in the listing. There were lots of dead flies along the window sills in the kitchen and in the sunroom area. The rest of the house was clean and beds were comfortable. The living room furniture could stand to be replaced just due to everyday wear and tear- worn out. The property is great but be prepared to travel a minimum of 45 minutes if you need anything. Overall great stay.

Cozy, mountain cabin with Wonder fall colors views around, peaceful. Great kitchen, family get together was amazing. Retro decor was so cool to teach the kids about different things. Host was wonderful with quick communication and help. Overall a great stay, highly recommend.

This was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The historic cabin was fascinating and pleasantly quirky. But all of the modern conveniences were there. Just be sure to get your groceries before you come in.
