"The rooms were clean and staff was nice. The sink faucet was filthy where the water comes out. I only know this as someone who has to change medical equipment and wipes everything down before using. Everything else was clean. Hotel is no frills but, we would stay here again."

"I travel a lot, so I don’t say this lightly: this hotel has some of the friendliest employees I’ve ever met. I came to Sumter to visit my son, who is stationed here, and decided to stay at this hotel. We’re about 20 minutes from Shaw, so if you’re wondering whether it’s worth staying here, the answer is YES. The hotel is very clean, the staff is kind, the area feels safe, and the breakfast is good. I don’t have a single complaint about this place. One example of how they went above and beyond: they have a grill outside, and I asked if I could use it and whether they had a folding table. They said they didn’t have one but would figure something out, because I wanted to barbecue for my son. When we went downstairs around 6 p.m., they had set up a brand‑new table, provided new utensils, and the grill was cleaned and ready for us. That made a huge difference, because we were able to enjoy a great evening with my son and a few of his friends. If you’re planning to visit Sumter, don’t hesitate—book this hotel."

"I was on a seven day business trip through SC. This hotel for the cost was disappointing. It appears everything in the room was that particle board furniture. Cheap construction."

"Just this place has "by Hilton" does mean you will get a "Hilton" experience. The receptionist that checked me in was not friendly and told me about none of the amenities of the facility. She just gave me my room keys and sent me on my way. They do NOT have an indoor pool and the gym is nothing more than a room with three cardio machines and a weight bench. House keeping did NOT clean my room daily. And there was a baby roach in the bathroom crawling on the counter top. This place was "remodeled", in my opinion just slightly cosmetically remodeled. The continental breakfast is nothing more juice, bread, cereal, instant oatmeal and grits, fruit, and possibly boiled eggs, and coffee. I paid $200.00 and the value was NOT worth the price. Take my advice save your money and stay else where."
