This place is super clean. Cleaner than most hotels I’ve stayed at. Captains room could use a little larger TV only because I’m older and it was harder for me to see. I would most definitely stay here again if I ever came back this way.

First of all, the room as well as the bathroom were dirty. The sink was used and filthy and there was food (olive and crumbs) under the bed which was disgusting. Unfortunately there is no personnel on site to attend to. We were there for just a weekend and it was my husband's birthday so we didn't have time to figure out how we should address our complaints immediately. Furthermore, the entire house was extremely cold and the guests are not able to adjust the temperature! We were freezing at night and it felt so uncomfortable that we decided to depart one day earlier than intended. Before we wrote this review, we sent an email, politely explaining the situation and asking for some sort of refund. However, the answer clearly showed that nobody even read our email properly and how they declined the refund was totally irrelevant to our complains. Last but not least, this is not a hotel! It is an old and tired house that hasn't been updated in decades.

Manatee room was pretty clean. We noticed blinds could be cleaner. Needed to ask for blankets. Due to cool front, lodging should have been warmer. Bed might be in need of a firmer mattress. Bkfst selection could use some uplifting All that, we liked the stay. Other guests were friendly. The kitchen person on 1st 2 days was very pleasant. Someone messed up on our 3rd and final day as NO bkfst foods or drinks were av.

Beautiful building, the bed in the Captains room wasn’t comfortable, but overall it was a nice stay. Little bar was within walking distance. I’d definitely stay again.

We were there in 'off season' so we had the place to ourselves...but the staff gave us the same attention they would for a full house. Very lovely site and the rooms (all) were spotless. The morning breakfast was over the top! Really, a fantastic facility, worth considering....

Fun florida feel Hotel!

This is a wonderful place to stay with lots of old Fl feel. I am a native and love finding places like this and it met all expectations. The only thing I would suggest is new pillows on the beds and maybe a more comfortable mattress in the Captains room as we had both Captain and Manatee rooms.

Lovely and very comfortable hotel. We felt like we were right at home. Loved the rockers on the porch and the beautiful trees and the quiet. Waking up to the smell of coffee brewing is a wonderful experience and the breakfast offering was very extensive. Enjoyed a quiet morning having coffee on the porch. Everyone we spoke with was courteous and eager to help us enjoy our stay. We look forward to returning!
