Charming Cabin on Fish Trap Lake: Fireplace, boat lift & beautiful walk out
This beautiful cabin on Fish Trap lake allows guests to experience the lake and up north without lacking in the modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. Spend the day out on the lake boating, fishing or stay back to enjoy the views from the front porch. A fire located on a level lot looks directly out onto the lake for your evening enjoyment.
Features/details include:
- 2 story cabin with 3 bedrooms. One bedroom is on the main level, 2 are upstairs.
- modern log home feel with wood floors throughout the main level
- 20 minutes from Brainerd for shopping
- high speed wireless internet, Direct TV
- washer/dryer
- fully equipped kitchen
- Gas fireplace
- Sleeper sofa in additional to 2 bedrooms and loft sleeping area
- Bath towels provided
- 2 kayaks for renter use
- Rock wrapped shoreline
The cabin offers central air-conditioning and heat.
The large front porch has patio seating with 2 tables, and a gas grill. There is a renovated boat house that offers 2 kayaks, 4 life jackets, and a vintage fridge to store lakeside drinks and snacks. Cabin rental includes the kayaks, dock and boat lift use. Fishing is great all seasons for bass, northern, sunny, and walleye.
The cabin is also settled on a quiet bay, which is perfect for water sports in the summer and great access to ice fishing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling trails.

Such an awesome place! Loved the large covered porch, big backyard looking out at the water, kayaks, and fire pit. The inside is actually super spacious- more like 3 bedrooms! Host was very friendly and helpful! Only “downsides” is there’s only 1 very small shower and the place didn’t come with Kleenex or paper towel.

Our family has rented various lake cabins over the years, and we keep returning to this cabin! We enjoy the charming cabin, quiet lake, lakeside lawn for relaxing & yard games, and decent fishing. (That 30" northern when I was bobber fishing off the dock surprised me!). The cabin itself has everything we've needed for our stay. We bring a couple of our own kayaks, and with the ones at the cabin, the whole family can go out and explore the bays & islands. The resort across the lake rents fishing boats & pontoons, so if you don't kayak or bring your own boat you can still enjoy exploring the lake.

The perfect cabin
We loved this cabin! The fully stocked kitchen, the beautiful landscaped yard, the deck with two dining tables, we're all perfect for our needs. The views of the lake were tremendous. Amazing getaway
Our family enjoyed our long weekend on Fish Trap lake. The cabin felt like a true family cabin and it was wonderful. While a large place, it felt cozy and inviting. We took advantage of the board games during the evenings and amazing lakefront during the day. Definitely will consider for future trips to MN!!

Home Away from Home
Beautiful well-kept property! Mom, Dad, Aunt & Uncle needed a nice quiet place to relax in between the weekend festivities of our daughter/goddaughter’s wedding at The Barn at Stoney Hill. It was perfect! Comfortable sleeping accommodations and a beautiful porch to enjoy our morning coffee while overlooking the lake. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us. We will certainly return to enjoy a more traditional lake experience.

Spent a relaxing week at this property. Only left once to get a new battery for our boat. Very quiet on the weekdays we were there, busier closer to the weekend. Had a great time swimming and fishing. Caught fish for dinner 2 nights. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Great place at the lake
This was the second time we spent a week at this cabin. My husband enjoyed the lake and the fish he caught, and I enjoyed a relaxing stay in a comfortable, cozy house. The cabin is decorated beautifully, and it is obvious that the owner takes pride in the place.

Great spot for a fall getaway.
We loved this property. We spent our days exploring the region - shopping, hiking, etc and returned to the cabin for afternoon/evening melas and games. This was perfect! Beautiful, well kept, cozy and warm. Well stocked kitchen for cooking, beautiful living room to relax!
