Beautiful scenery, great accommodations!

Comfortable, fun spot for a family! We enjoyed Custer and Hill City, and hiked the Volksmarch at Crazy Horse.

Gorgeous Place

Papa's Place is stunning! It is our new home away from home with gorgeous views. The house is very comfortable and spacious with ALL of the extra amenities you could think of and then some. There was space for everyone and all the things they brought. We appreciated the details, love, and care put into this place. It truly is a place one can relax and not worry about anything! Two kitchens and laundry rooms made it a breeze to keep everyone full and clean! We enjoyed the board games, game room area and cool kids closet! We reveled in the gorgeous cool weather and the last day a light snow dusting! Lots of lawn space for kids to enjoy and watch the bunnies hop around. Location is close to great food and activities are within short distances. Mt. Rushmore, Needle Highway, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse and Mammoth site are 30-45 minutes away and Devil's Tower and Badlands National Park are about two hours either direction. The drives to and from are gorgeous! We will definitely be back to this beautiful place soon. Thank you to the hosts who were amazing and responsive! I just can't say enough about Papa's Place!

The house was very clean. There were a few issues but the host was great and was getting them fixed. The view is awesome. The location was great! Close enough to Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Hill City and Keystone to come home for lunch and then go back out. Having 2 kitchens was a lifesaver since the stovetop upstairs was broke. Overall a great place!

Family time!

Great quiet location with beautiful views. Areas to explore close by. The house was comfortable and clean. Great outside space and chairs! We all enjoyed playing the video games. Even PAC Man!! With that being said. Areas of the kitchen could be cleaned better and dish towels would have been nice. Grills hadn’t been cleaned.

Great place.

Problems on arrival with cleanliness which were passed to the owner and resolved. Setting is beautiful- house needs a few upgrades- both upstairs and downstairs showers need faucets and shower heads. The problem with the cleaning was communicated to the owner right away. She responded but I had to ask for a cleaning fee refund since it wasn’t clean- she didn’t offer it. If she had, I would have given 5 stars because accidents happen- but customer service is a must. Had the cleaner told her about the emergency- we could have dealt with it before we got there since we didn’t arrive right at checkin time. Owner was very responsive to me overall- I still feel if the expectations listed were not what was presented it should have been automatic to offer refund. Having said all that- the place is fantastic- I would rent again… lovely time!
