Very friendly and accommodatinng staff. They had two good restaurant options and as nice coffee shop. I enjoyed sitting in the sitting area overlooking the ocean.

We were with a group of 12. We booked 6 nights in total. We chose this hotel mainly for the swimming pool. We arrived and saw that the pool was empty and closed. We were not warned about this beforehand. We complained and we did not receive any compensation. The hotel offered to drive us to another swimming pool of another hotel 10 minutes away for 1 day. Just NOT OK!!! Booking 6 nights for this pool and not enjoying it at all. Also food was not good. Bathrooms were very old. Not happy at all. And received no compensation. We even asked for a late checkout and that was also not possible.

Received a room that was boiling hot when we entered. Immediately asked to replace the room but was told that the hotel was fully sold out. The AC wasn’t powerful enough to cool the room even after 4 hours. The hotel didn’t even have a single fan to offer. Additionally, the wifi didn’t reach the room. When requested a refund, the manager said they have couple of rooms to offer. By then, we had had enough of the poor service from the staff. We checked out after 5 hours. The manager didn’t refund anything. Very disappointed to have spent the new year in this fashion on what looks like a premium property in the city. Complete waste of money.

A beautiful well located property… managers are trying to resolve some issues like staff service but the atmosphere & the view is awesome… can enjoy quiet time as compared to the city hussle & bussle.. large property which is undergoing some renovations…

We haven’t had any replies for the airport shuttle - after sending email a week ago and sent the another notice 3 days ago for arrival. Not responsive to inquiries. The room is a bit nosy, air conditioning sounds very loud and the toilet didn’t flash out. The remote controller was broken. Treasure box didn’t work with PW setting. And the card transaction was broken so it also wasted hour time over 30min when we were head for leaving. About that issues the service and their attitude was not helpful. That was disappointing.

The breakfast buffet has a lot to offer and is changing a bit every day. The building is old, yes, but it’s in a good condition and clean! The pool is very nice, clean and you have a nice view to the ocean. The parking area is big and safe.

Stayed with my husband for honeymoon- booked ocean view was given partial ocean view room 309; the decor and the room look tired and aged. Cleanliness was average as hotel looked dated. Staff were accommodating. Food average with some flies around fruits. The best part of the stay was the front of hotel, garden, pool and lobby as rooms not as inviting. We had no deck chairs on our balcony with views obscured by a large palm tree. It was a last minute booking but we’re fortunate to steal one night at Serena hotel which made our stay at the Golden Tulip palatable.

The view of this property is great - you get to eat your breakfast while watching a great view and the view from the pool is also great. However, the service is not as great as the view. A staff member mistakenly knocked on my room at midnight.. and it really scared me. Also, the room is a bit outdated.

Dirty hotel, how did golden tulip give their name to this property. Toilet door is nasty old rotten soft wood. Shower head is rusty old, the room smells like smoke and I was very specific when I checked in I wanted a room that doesn’t smell smoke.

Terrible hotel
The hotel is outdated and in very poor condition!! The furniture is old in the rooms and the mattresses are terrible you’d feel the springs. The breakfast buffet is lousy and terrible!! Not worth the money Will not recommend this hotel

I had the pleasure of spending 9 nights at this wonderful hotel. The staff are extraordinary. I appreciate that bottled water is offered at breakfast, and the menu changes slightly every day. There's a wine and cheese shop, a coffee shop, and restaurants on site, so traveling is not necessary. The swimming pool and view are incredible.

It started out bad as I didn't have the room I booked, but became better after I got my correct room. Manager was helpful but service overall was not that good. View of beach from room is lovely.

The hotel is amazing! Rooms are clean, breakfast is very good and the staff are helpfull. The pool area is so nice!! The hotel is located only 3min drive from coco beach or 10min walk if you like. I would defently go back again next time Im in daar es salam
