Long Weekend Oasis
I rented this property due to the location on the water to get away, and it did not disappoint! The house itself had a great feel to it, it was hard to leave! I rented for me and my dog- family and friends came to visit and celebrate Mother’s Day- it was perfect. There is not a little beach or clear path into the water from the ground- only the dock- which made it difficult for my dog to swim and he did cut a paw going into the water, but that is the only thing I’d like to see change. Views from the house and lawn can’t be beat. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Family Get-Away
Celebrating my 70th birthday with my sons and their wives was a delight. I loved the open lay-out of the house. Room for everyone to spread out, Views were beautiful! One couple enjoyed the fishing, the other flew kites on the lawn. And our beagles enjoyed all the new scents. Everyone had a great time. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Lovely weekend get away!
This rental was simply fantastic. Everything was relaxing from sitting on the patio to chatting with family in the gazebo! The scenery was beautiful from the sunrise to the sunset! Great places to eat very near by. Viewing the water from all locations was the best! The family is ready to go back!!!

Everything was great, house was clean, nice...as listed, lots of outdoor games, view was amazing...we ran out of propane on Wednesday so had to do indoor cooking the rest of the week but that was my only complaint.

A perfect stay -- with bonus kayaking off your peer
This place suited us perfectly for our family gathered to celebrate my daughter's wedding nearby. I was able to bring my inflatable kayak and launch it from your peer. Lots of good conversations occurred on your porch, and in your spacious living room, as well. Thanks for the lovely spot!

A piece of heaven in the peninsula with great seafood restaurants around the area.
By far, best vacation place I ever been. Even though we stayed at this property during New Year's Eve and right after a huge freezing storm, the views and grounds were out of this world. The inside of the house was even better, offering great accommodation and lots of games and toys for all ages. Huge amount of dishes and glassware to keep everyone happy. The outdoor patio and grilling area are huge and extremely comfortable to accommodate the large party that was celebrating with us. All I have to say is thank you Rick for sharing your piece of paradise with the world.

Outstanding Property
This really is a terrific home with a spectacular view. It was just my wife and I and our dogs so we didn't even use the upper half of the house. But it was a lovely place with a great fenced in backyard for our dogs and a view to die for. The house and property was better than described and if available I would stay here in the future.

Amazing property. Just as advertised.
It’s rare you find a gem like this. Everything was in great shape and just and it looks like on the sight. The property was huge and perfect for dogs. Great views and perfect for relaxing. Beware the Jellyfish! If you’re going there expecting to get in the water you’re going to be disappointed in August, but that’s not the property’s fault. It’s a five star place.

Didn't Want to Leave!
One of my favorite stays out of all of our family trips across the country. As great as the photos make the place look, they can't truly convey the vibe of the property - so beautiful and peaceful. Over three days we maybe saw 4-5 people on the water and only one was using an engine to propel themselves, so it was absolutely quiet and we had the view to ourselves. We were able to catch a few crab (and fish / jellyfish), and the kids loved checking and resetting the pots every few hours. The house had plenty of space for our family, and everything was very comfortable and well taken care of. We loved the gazebo and sitting on the dock, and the fenced in portion of the yard was much appreciated by our dog. Plenty of flat space for playing bags or whatever else you have in mind. Easy drive to/from D.C. or Annapolis. We also went kayaking one evening and enjoyed seafood and crushes at Skipper's and Dockside. Thank you for letting us stay at your property, we would definitely come back if we are in the area again!

Extended weekend stay
The house is very nice and had enough room for the 5 of us and our dog to really spread out. We definitely enjoyed kayaking on the water and watching the wildlife. The fenced yard for our dog was definitely a plus. The neighborhood is very narrow so not a great place to walk if you encounter the few cars that are out and about. Overall, we had a lovely, quiet stay and would definitely consider renting again.

A little piece of Heaven
This vacation spot exceeded my expectations. The place is picturesque and beautifully located on the water. Panoramic views provide for memorable pictures at any angle of the outdoors as well as indoors. The lovely gazebo was an awesome spot to sit and reminisce with our family guests while the light rain visited us only once during our stay. The property accommodates cooking indoors and outdoors, with a lovely, gated patio area if you have fur babies that would like to roam. Amenities: The cabinets are nicely stocked with miscellaneous cooking utensils as well as spices or things you may have forgotten to grab at the store (e.g., salt, pepper, spices, etc.). Location: The location is perfect if you would like to venture out to a local beach (e.g., Chesapeake Beach or Mayo Beach/Park). We enjoyed the property and planned an outing for the kids to swim at the beach. It was just perfect! Overall: This is a great spot as a home away from home. Indeed, it was a little piece of Heaven. Great family spot!
We stayed with our neighbors and their kids (plus our dog). The house was very clean! The owner responded to texts very quickly when we had questions. We enjoyed hanging out on the property as well as going into town for dinner and hiking. We took our kayaks and it was very easy to put them in and out of the water. We tried to fish but it wasn’t the right season or we didn’t have the right bate. The dock is a little older so be sure to wear shoes. We spent some time plucking splinters out of small feet. That was the worst complaint—it was a great place to stay!

Great Views
Great property for a large family gathering. Plenty of open living area for all of us to relax inside with the cold weather. Clean and beautiful views of the river and sunrises. Kitchen is well stocked with what you need to prepare meals. Extra towels and linens provided for use also if you wash and return to closet. Owner made himself available if needed, which we didn’t. Close to DC and Annapolis for day trips.

Great for our Thanksgiving Getaway
We wanted a place near my folks over the holidyh, but with lots of room for the kids and adults to spread out. Very well-appointed kitchen and good entertainment options for all of us. Lots of room for the kids to explore outdoors. This place was PERFECT for our needs. Rick was very responsive when the heat glitched out on the first night. We will definitely look into booking again!

Relaxing family getaway
The property was beautiful. Exactly like the photos. Clean, warm and welcoming. The view is beautiful and the fenced yard was perfect for us to have our dog with us. Not much in the area, so plan for things to do at the house. Great kitchen to cook in and plenty of indoor and outdoor games. Smart TVs were a bonus we werent expecting. Unfortunatley it was a bit too cold during our stay to really enjoy the property and the water as much as we would have liked. The fireplace wasn't working while we were there which was definitley a bummer. Overall, we wanted to get away and relax and this house was great for exactly that!

Close but felt faraway
Home was lovely - well appointed, spacious and had all we needed to unwind and relax. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises, sunsets, lawn games, fire pit time and water views. Numerous bird sightings - even a bald eagle on multiple occasion! Local shops and restaurants were a plus. Many thanks to owner for making their home available - we hope to return soon!

That rare rental that is actually BETTER than the photos
Rick's home is spic and span clean, well-appointed and an absolute retreat in a location that is 100% perfection. I didn't think it was possible to like a rental home as much as this. The owners invested in all the right places - fans, sliding doors, decking, family gathering areas. Despite sticking it out through flash flooding and torrential downpour, found the home on the bay to be a safe and comforting hideaway. Bedrooms are spacious and ceiling fans throughout the property lead to an airy, light feeling. The wall-to-wall sliding glass doors create a sense that you are on the water and the backyard is perfect for kids and dogs. We fished off our own pier and built a bonfire in the patio firepit. Truly an epic weekend away. Thank you Rick.

Beautiful Property
This vacation property is absolutely amazing. The home is beautifully decorated, is well-stocked with everything you might need (spices, plenty of pots/pans, extra towels/sheets, etc.). The location at the end of the point is perfect to watch beautiful sunrises/sunsets. Our dogs enjoyed running freely in the fenced in yard, which made it enjoyable for all of us. The homeowners are extremely responsive and provided extra touches that made our visit extremely enjoyable. We highly recommend this property to anyone who is interested in a relaxing getaway with amazing views.

Peaceful waterside hideaway
We had a very nice relaxing stay. The location is at the end of the road and on a cove which keeps the waters calm compared with other locations farther down the street. The house offers lovely views of the water and sunrise from inside and outside. We enjoyed being on the patio looking at the water. The neighborhood was quiet and a nice place to take walks. The fenced yard was nice for our dog. The kitchen is great and well stocked with dishes. We used both the large dining table and kitchen island for meals. Nearby shopping and restaurant options seemed a bit limited and we mostly stocked up in Annapolis. Overall, the house is best suited for 6-7 guests as some of the pull out beds are in the living room.

Summer Family Holiday
Very nice property, everything was clean and appeared as it was presented on the website. Easy communication with the owner. Screen for the gazebo was broken when we arrived but it was unfortunately never mended. Deale is a nice quiet neighborhood, very good fireworks for the 4th of July just across the creek! It was a very hot week that we were here. Unfortunately not a lot of shade was readily available. The trees by the water provided some share but unfortunately due to a Goose flock it was very dirty. We saw that the table outside had an umbrella stand but we could not find the umbrella that went with it. Make sure to bring your own umbrellas if you are sensitive to being out in the sun.

Perfect family getaway
The house layout was ideal for our group of 4 adults and 2 young kids (plus a dog). The kids enjoyed hanging out in the loft watching movies, roasting smores over the firepit, exploring nearby beaches, checking the crab traps, and canoeing (the owner put us in touch with a guy who delivered the boat right to the house). We appreciated that there was a small chime whenever someone opened an exterior door--it helped us make sure our curious 3 year old did not get out without an adult. The kitchen was well stocked, light switches were labeled, and there were extra linens if needed. It was a delight!

Perfect for families!
Beautiful home with everything we could possibly need! Well equipped kitchen with many supplies already there - paper goods, cleaning products, lots of towels, nice beds and linens. Our small dogs and young children were comfortable, and the house lent itself to a fun game of hide and seek with the little ones on a rainy afternoon. Six adults, 2 children, and two Yorkies had plenty of room. One wish - easier access to the water for wading in the shallow water.

Exactly as advertised
We absolutely loved this property. The attention to detail was so appreciated (ie all the light switches are labeled!!). The house was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed. The view is so beautiful.
