Million Dollar Views!!! Great unobstructed views of Denali from the deck. We also saw the Northern Lights. This location is unbelievable- Private up on hillside, yet super close to Talkeetna and activities. Whitney was super cool and gave us great info about Denali, hiking the State Park, etc. The house/cabin has everything you need for a great vacation.

What a great location!!! On a hill overlooking a beautiful valley! If it wasn't for the foggy conditions we would have had a great view of the mountains! The cabin was perfect for an overnight stay between Sterling and Healy. Whitney had the cabin perfectly decorated and stocked with all the necessities.

Beautiful view.. rustic cabin feel. Just had the basics in the kitchen and bathroom, but that was all we needed. Upstairs bedrooms are gorgeous,with views of Mount McKinley / Denali, and a small 2nd deck off the master bedroom.

Splendid views

I am sure we were lucky that the weather allowed us to see Denali in all of its glory, but it is also true that this cabin has a splendid view of the mountain from across the valley. The fortunate weather just have is the opportunity. This cabin is secluded but nice and meet all of our needs. If we are fortunate enough to ever visit the area again, we will do our best to rent this cabin. We all loved it.

A slice of heaven

I stayed in the sister property and 2 couples I was traveling with stayed in this perfect cabin. Whitney, our host greeted us when we arrived and provided great information about the area. She had a binder with property information as well as local eateries, etc. The view from the back deck was spectacular. Cocktails in the evening while enjoying Denali and the mountain range was as good as it gets!!!!!

We enjoyed the location and views! Beds were comfy. Seating area was average as futons not great for sitting and love to have a comfy chair. Overall, a really nice night in Talkeetna.

This was exactly what we’re looking for. Quiet & quaint with an incredible view! Had one very small maintenance request and it was handled immediately. Highly recommended!

Rustic Alaskan Wilderness Cabin

Really felt like we were in Alaskan wilderness. Great location, beautiful view out the back, plenty of room for 3 adults. Host was responsive. Price was reasonable. May have been the time of year, but mosquitoes were particularly bad. Made it unable for us to use the outdoor space. Thankfully all the windows had screens, (though we still saw some wiggle through). May have been nice to have a larger fan in addition to the fans that were provided. We were short one set of bath towels, but by the time we discovered that, it was too late to notify the host. A couple of items could have been a little cleaner - the couch covers, and the vent fan in the bathroom. Had we known there was only well water, we would have brought bottled water.

The rustic cabin (built by Whitney the owner) is wonderful getaway to enjoy long range views of Denali! The cabin was clean and neat as a pin! If you’re considering traveling through Talkeetna, I would highly recommend this cabin. Thank you Whitney for sharing your piece of heaven!

Wow, the view

We stayed for 3 nights at the cabin. The back deck views are beautiful, but we only had views of some of Denali on our first night. Clouds obscured the views the rest of the time. The cabin was rustic but comfortable and clean. Nice that you are close to town and some hiking trails. There were 2 cons. One was the smell of kerosene from the heater the other the tiny bathroom and very small shower. Overall if the heater were repaired we would stay again.
