Fantastic stay for a family vacation
We had a great time at this vacation rental. It was easy to get to and visit many of the beautiful villages in Lago di Garda (Lazise, Sirmione, Bordalino, Salo). Also easy to visit Verona from here and we hired a boat one day to drive us around and swim in the lake.
The house itself is quite large, with big bedrooms and bathrooms. The beds are comfortable. The grounds are gorgeous and large with a view of the Torre di San Martino di Battaglia which is stunning. The Tower itself is a fun outing and very close.
We cooked for a few nights and also went to a few agriturismos near the villa which were very good. The property's caretakers Manu and Helena (I hope I got the names right) were very helpful and available via WhatsApp to answer any questions or provide recommendations.
I must say, the best part is the beautiful large swimming pool! It was quite hot while we were there (there is AC that works well) and the kids could not stay out of the pool.
All in all, I highly recommend this rental for a great family vacation!

Familienferien erholsam, spannend und für jung und alt
Ein sehr schönes Erlebnis mitten in einer fürstlichen Umgebung!
Gebäude und Umschwung gepflegt, Installation rundum sehr gut, weitläufig und alles ideal für eine Familie wie die unsere mit 3 Ehepaaren und 4 Kinder (bis 12 Jahre alt), das Ganze mit italienischem Flair: Wir bedanken uns auch für die sehr gute Betreuung.

Perfect Italian Villa
We rented this house for a week, 10 adults and two small children. The garden is amazing, the pool is fantastic and the house is in walking distance to two restaurants.
The pool was a favorite, and had a shallow (110cm) and deep (220cm) end.
The house itself is old and very traditional, and has newly upgraded doors and windows.
The only concern we had was the fact that there is no air conditioning, but as other guests have pointed out, there are bug nets in front of the windows which lets you have them open by night, as well as fans throughout every room. If you are not unlucky and find yourself in a heat wave, you should be more than fine
We had a great time and could have asked for a more Italian experience. Hope to be back!

8 Days in a wonderful location
1. Fantastic location - surrounded by beautiful vineyards and with two excellent quality restaurants on the doorstep - an agriturismo that cooks all the food they grow and then a classy restaurant next to the iconic tower. Superb meals and hospitality at both. There is a simple supermarket about 2 minute drive away and then a Conad megastore with in-house coffeeshop, bakery and deli about 13 min drive. There is a great bakery in Pozzolengo about 5 minute drive away too.
2. Beautiful gardens and top notch swimming pool meant relaxing out the house was always enjoyable. The kitchen was well stocked with quality cookware which meant we could have feasts in the kitchen or out in the garden.
3. 4 bathrooms (if you include the poolhouse) so no queuing in the mornings.
4. Massive bedrooms. I think these will feel light and airy most of the time but we were unlucky to be there in the 2023 heatwave where it was 28 degrees at night. Fans were supplied for every room and every room has mosquito nets to allow air to circulate through the house. The stone walls also keep the house from overheating. I think if it was 5 degrees cooler we would have been fine without the fans but we REALLY need them - there is no aircon.
5. Wifi is excellent quality and they have routers all over the property so the kids could watch videos in their bedrooms or instagram from the pool. Great coverage throughout.
6. Enough parking space for many cars (we only had 1). Electric gates with two keys

Tolle Villa mit Pool
Die Villa liegt auf einem tollen Grundstück mit großem Garten. Der Pool ist sehr groß und hat viele Liegeplätze. Die Villa bietet Raum für 10 Personen und hat zwei schöne Essecken. Uns hat alles sehr gut gefallen- auch die ruhige Lage und die Nähe zum Gardasee und vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

Großartige Villa mit Park ohne Nachbarn
Die Villa und das Gelände incl. Pool sind ein Traum, von manchen ruhigen Orten hat man einen direkten Blick auf den Gardasee. Das Grundstück ist riesig sodass man auch in größeren Gruppen im ein ruhiges Plätzchen finden kann.
Es gibt 2 Restaurants die zu Fuß erreicht werden können falls man sich schon das ein oder andere Glas Wein vom benachbarten Weingut gegönnt hat.
Diego war ein super Gastgeber, die Kommunikation erfolgt sehr einfach über Whatsapp oder via E-Mail, wir hatten ein kleines Problem mit einer Tür und Diego kam kurz nur wenige Zeit später vorbei um es zu reparieren.
Es gibt ein paar kleine Punkte die verbessert werden könnten gerade für größere Gruppen, dies soll aber keines Falls die 5 Sterne Bewertung für diese Villa schmälern:
Küchenaustattung:
Beim Kochen für 8+ Personen fehlt es an großen Töpfen um auch mal eine Portion Nudeln für alle auf einmal zu kochen. Da wir die meiste Zeit gegrillt haben (Grillfläche ist ausreichend vorhanden) war dies kein großes Problem, es ist lediglich beim zubereiten für einen Nudelsalat aufgefallen.
Der große Steintisch im Garten ist ausreichen für 10 Personen, die anderen Tische sowohl im Haus als auch auf der Terrasse reichen max. für 8 Personen.
In Punkten Sauberkeit, Gastfreundlichkeit und Service gibt es absolut nichts zu bemängeln, wir kommen eventuell nächstes Jahr wieder!

Eine Wohlfühloase in mitten von Weinreben
Wir hatten eine fantastische Zeit in diesem liebevoll eingerichteten Landhaus. Es war mehr als genug Platz für uns alle vorhanden. Die Küche bietet alles, um für die ganze Familie zu kochen. Wir hatten das Glück, jeden Abend draußen sitzen zu können, weit ab vom Tourismus. Wir haben uns wie in einer Blase gefühlt, die Ruhe begleitet von den Geräuschen aus der Natur und der riesige Garten boten jedem sein Plätzchen um mal nur für sich zu verweilen und Energie zu tanken. Der Pool ist groß genug und bot genügend Platz für uns alle. In der Nähe kann man zu Fuß sehr gut essen gehen und dann der riesigen Weinkarte sehr guten Wein trinken. Auch die vielen Weingüter drum herum boten feine Tropfen, von den wir immer direkt gekauft haben. Besonders schön war auch der Abend, an welchem wir uns im Haus von Liliana klassisch italienisch bekocht haben lassen. Sehr lecker und unbedingt zu empfehlen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Beautiful house & pool - perfect for a holiday week with friends
What a gem!! We spent a wonderful week in this beautiful house (3 families - 6 adults & 4 children aged 6 - 15) and really enjoyed the pool, outdoor seating areas and extensive garden. The bedrooms were all very spacy and very comfortable, with good mattresses and pillows. The pool was huge and there were enough sun loungers for everyone, the pool house had a shower & WC which was very useful. We loved the outdoor pergola for meals and spending time with one another - it was a perfect spot for socialising. Besides being a really nice place to sit and catch the evening sun, the front terrace area was a great space for our morning fitness sessions :)
The Property Manager, Diego, was very responsive and helpful and even arranged a cook for 3 evenings during our stay. We can^t recommend Liliana's cooking enough - it was super fresh and very Italian!!! Back home now, we miss you Liliana!!
The property is about 1 km off the motorway exit, set amongst the vineyards with a few restaurants within walking distance. Sirmione was a 10 minute drive away, as was a big supermarket and it was very easy to get to other parts of Lake Garda. The location was just perfect as we really enjoyed the peaceful setting and didn't have to worry about any noise that we made around the pool.
We will definitely be back one day and are for sure going to recommend the house to our friends.

Beautiful villa in a quiet spot in the Lugana hills
We had a lovely stay with our family (9 adults, a baby and a 5 year old who's birthday we celebrated there.
Enough bathrooms, more than enough space and a very big kitchen with everything you might need.
Clean and maintained well.
In the heat of summer are the bedrooms a bit warm.
Swimmingpool a real gem.
Maybe the swings in the garden could be fixed?
We totally recommend and would surely go back.

Waren 7 Tage auf dem Anwesen, sind sehr zufrieden . Gross, Geräumig , sehr gepflegt , sauber , ruhige Lage , im Umkreis alles was man braucht. Jederzeit gerne wieder , Frau Ellis ist auch ein sehr angenehmer und zuvorkommender Mensch. Also alles in allem sehr Stimmig ;)

Large spacious villa with pool, in a rural location but convenient to the motorway and Lake Garda
The villa is a beautiful old farmhouse located in the area of an historic battlefield near the village of San Martino, just south of Lake Garda. The property description is accurate. The villa itself has 5 large bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and was ideal for our party of 2 families (4 adults and 6 children), having plenty of room for us all. Unfortunately the bedrooms do not have air conditioning and although 4 of the rooms had fans they were rather warm at night.
It has a large kitchen well equipped with pots and pans, crockery etc and all the usual appliances. There is a huge dining room. Outside the villa is set in spacious gardens and has a large pool with diving board which was a great size and depth. There is a lovely seating area outside under a pergola with a vine growing over it.
Lovely Charlie the cat who belongs to the owner stays if the guests are happy for him to and we loved him.
The villa is managed by Diego who was extremely helpful during our stay. He gave us lots of good advice about the area and when we had a problem getting Sky TV to work he came out straight away to try and sort it. As it couldn't be sorted during our stay he found a solution so that the children could watch films in the evening.
Although the villa is rural it is less than 5 minutes drive from the motorway so has good links for travelling to Venice or Verona. Verona is about 30 minute drive away and Venice about 1.5 hours away although we went by train from Desezano del Garda railway station. Lake Garda itself and the resorts of Sirmione and Desanzano del Garda are a short drive away and all worth a visit. There is a large supermarket about 10 minutes drive away.
The villa is surrounded by vineyards and there is a very good Winery right next door where wine tasting can be carried out and some very good local wine purchased. There are several other Winerys in the area.
Within walking distance of the villa there are 3 local restaurants, one at the end of the drive which was very typically Italian which we visited and one a short walk up the road near the San Martino Tower ( a memorial tower for the battlefield) which was excellent.
The San Martino Tower is also definitely worth a visit and there is a great view of the lake from the top.
So to summarise, this is a great villa in a beautiful location, with great road links to local towns and Lake Garda and especially ideal for a large group or several families. Would definitely recommend it to friends.

Schönes Anwesen mit reizvollen Ambiente
Das alte Landhaus mit dem sehr großen Garten und großen Schwimmingpool hat schon etwas Besonderes! Im Haus ist sehr viel Platz. Die Einrichtung ist im englischen Stil gehalten. Sogar die Steckdosen, für welche wir einen Adapter benötigten, sind typisch englisch.
Alles ist recht alt und trägt den Charme alten englischen Mittelstandes. Das hat seine ganz besonderen Reize, muss man aber auch mögen. Zu der alten Bausubstanz fallen auch typische Renovierungsrückstände im wie außerhalb des Hauses auf. Sie sind aber nicht gravierend und unterstreichen in manchen Bereichen den Charme des alten Landhauses, ja sie geben ihm etwas authentisches. Wie gesagt, wer dieses Ambiente liebt wird begeistert sein und erfreut sich über den besonderen Reiz dieses Anwesens.
Ansonsten kann ich nur lobende Worte zu diesem Objekt äußern. Platz ist in Hülle und Fülle vorhanden, auch für gut 3-4 Autos auf dem Grundstück. Der Pool mit seinen 20x10m ist gut dimensioniert und das Sprungbrett stabil. Man kann dort am Pool grillen, sonnen und realaxen und beim Winzer hinterm Haus guten Wein verkosten. Das Haus selbst ist etwas abgelegen dadurch hat man sein Ruhe und Privatspähre im Anwesen. Ab und zu fährt mal ein Auto am Grundstück vorbei (ca.5 mal am Tag). Zum Gardasee sind es ca. 10 Minuten Autofahrt, auch zum Bäcker oder Supermarkt koimmt man ganz schnell hin. Aber ohne Auto geht nichts.
Dere Verwalter ist sehr rührig und kümmert sich sofort wenn mal etwas nicht so enstpricht wie man es sich wünscht. Alles in allem war es ein recht guter Aufenthalt für uns (6+2+1Hund).
