Wonderful!

The condo has beautiful view of pool and ocean! We were thrilled to see dolphins from the balcony! The condo is spacious, very clean and well stocked. The grounds are very pretty and we like the gated parking lot. This was our second stay at Sterling Shores and we are looking to book again in the spring.

The BEST

we stayed here in the same exact room for our honeymoon and our five year anniversary. The room is very clean very up-to-date and everything that you need is in it. I will never stay anywhere else in Destin!!!!! Thank you for such a clean and lovely room!

Christmas stay

We had a pretty good stay from Dec. 24-28. We could have used a little more info about the place beforehand since no one was there on 24th or 25th. The main pool is not heated, it's a small one across the street, beach access too.condo 517 was clean and has a good view. We went to the palms coffee house every morning for breakfast. Great food, drink and service. It's across the street. I will stay here again. Thanks!

Exceeded our expectations

Everything about this place exceeded our expectations! Condo was clean and set up well with plenty of amenities, such as the chairs & wagon to use at the beach (we used them every day!). Kitchen stocked and laundry was great to have. Proximity to elevators and getting around was easy! I was nervous about this condo building not being right on the beach, but across a street. The set up was way better than I ever anticipated! Easy walk down to the pool and also easy getting across to the beach. All private for owners & guests, including the beach. Pool/condo grounds were all gated. Crowd of people around us was good. No nonsense and just other people and families trying to enjoy Destin! There were always chairs by the pool and it was never more crowded than expected. Right next door to the best place to eat in town - The Back Porch. I give this 5 stars and would book Sterling Shores again #517 in a heart beat.

Our favorite summer vacation spot

This is a very nice unit with comfy beds. We appreciated the beach umbrellas in the closet. Would really recommend replacing the patio table so we could've eaten outside but it was so rusty. Also the refrigerator was quite noisy although it seems to function well. And none of the dinner plates are micro-safe. We always enjoy Destin and have always stayed at Sterling Shores.

Love Sterling Shores, don’t love this condo

We’ve stayed at Sterling Shores numerous times and love it here. This condo however, has been our least favorite stay. It does provide good space, a beautiful and large fridge and kitchen sink, comfortable beds and gorgeous master shower… but outside of those specific things, we were unfortunately not impressed. Outside of too many complaints I left with Vacasa, the main concern was the balcony. The furniture isn’t great at all and my husband had to swiffer scrub the floor out there because it was so filthy. Over all, with a good amount of new furniture and freshly painted walls, this condo would be significantly better.

We were really disappointed with our stay at this property, and unfortunately, I cannot recommend it in its current condition.When we arrived, the refrigerator did not work at all. We were given a tiny loaner fridge, similar to something you would find in a college dorm room, which was completely inadequate for a family. The management company repeatedly told us that a new fridge was on the way, but the delivery kept getting pushed back. When the replacement finally arrived on Tuesday, we went almost half of our stay was without a functioning refrigerator.Other maintenance issues made things even worse. The ceiling fans in both the living room and the master bedroom did not work properly, which made it uncomfortable. On the very first night, the smoke detector kept beeping. I submitted a work order with Vacasa, but no one ever came to fix it. I eventually had to go out, buy a battery myself, and replace it just to get some peace.The outdoor space was basically unusable because the balcony furniture was so rusted that you couldn’t even sit on it. Inside, the mattress in the master bedroom didn’t fit the bed frame properly—it was too small for the box springs, which made it very uncomfortable. The washer never completed the spin cycle, and the dryer ruined several items of clothing by leaving black marks and damaging drawstrings.Overall, the property is poorly maintained and the furniture is outdated and in need of replacement.
