Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We decided on a very last minute trip and this condo was good for that. We had 2 adults and 2 children. It was a little smaller than we are used. Not a lot of places to sit and relax. One small loveseat and an ottoman. The bed was comfortable. Room service was excellent if we needed anything. The place was clean and decorated cute. The only downfall is we did not have beach service. We had to pay for that all week. Most condos come with beach set up and this one does not. For last minute it worked but for a longer stay I recommend for only two people not a family of four. Thanks for the great stay!

Only three complaints: lighting in kitchen very dim, bathroom fan needs replaced and the patio door requires great strength to open. They need a new knob to control the fridge temp too, but said maintenance they ordered one. Very happy renter!!

Things i would ask for from the owners: more hanging rod in closet (what is there now is not adequate. and same for drawers, not enough. there was only 1 coffee cup, yep, just ONE?! LOVED the bed, it was a king and very comfy. the resort as a whole is nice. ONly other issue with the resort was no change.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We arrived on Monday afternoon after a VERY long drive, and I felt like I had finally made it home. The place was immaculate! Everything that you would need for a getaway was there (small appliances, utensils, towels, everything). The bed was very comfortable as was the couch in the TV room. And you are about 2-minute stroll from the beach! The neighbors that we saw were older couples and families, which is our type of crowd. I had a quick question for the owners about where to eat, and they told us about some of their favorites, and treated me like an old friend. True southern hospitality! We felt right at home, and if we can get away next summer, we will no doubt be staying here. It really was perfect.

Reviewer Comments: I’m shocked that y’all charge the same amount for this unit as the nicer ones , I’ve stayed at Silver Dunes about 5 times and the last 3 years in a row and was not happy with Unit 4 at all. It needs a BIG deep cleaning EVERY WHERE... All around and in the tub, toilet, sinks, faucets , refrigerator, cushions on the couch were filthy, the mattress that u pull out on top and under it , baseboards , when u reach behind the bed or anywhere to plug in your phone charger, you could see how dirty the floors were etc. Terribke lighting in the few places that there was lighting , very thankful for Andy when he changed the light fixture in the bathroom so we could actually see in there , the lighting in the kitchen is terrible. I asked for Amber to come see us in the room but she didn’t . Andy was extremely nice and helpful and said they needed suggestions as to make things better . I’m not usually a complainer but I did call the night we got there and the next morning, we LOVE Silver Dunes but was not happy at all for the money that we paid for this unit last week ...

Was happy to see that all my favorite things about Silver Dunes had not changed in 30 years, i.e., George (the best!); the blue umbrellas, the beloved courtyard, the tennis courts (my son and I played during the prestorm winds), the beach, the pool, the grills, the laundry room, an improved arcade and the nicest security guards and front desk staff. Thank you!!! It was great to be "home" and I can't wait to come back. To heck with 30A

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall I was very happy with my stay at Silver Dunes. I live in Florida, so I am used to nice beaches but the sand in Destin is amazing. The condition of the condo was quite good. The appliances were is great shape and everything worked like it was supposed to. I had an issue with the wifi, but the maintenance team quickly fixed it. Big Kahuna's is less than a quarter mile away, and there is a cross walk directly in across from the front gate of Silver Dunes. I have already recommending this place to a friend.

Worst silver dunes rental EVER

Reviewer Comments: we have stayed at silver dunes since 1994, on and off, pretty much every spring break. We have had snafu s over the years, but this 1 was by far the worst. It was just my husband and myself. It's a 1 bedroom with the worst mattress man ever made. Too much non essential junk in the kitchen with NO storage for groceries. No drawers for utensils. NO counter space. Unit 4 is unfit to rent. We spoke briefly with the front desk. They were less than helpful. This is not the silver dunes we knew. We will not be back

Ok, but could have been better

Good points: Clean. Great counter tops. Bed comfortable. Drapes nice. Drying rack for towels nice. Several outlets available in bedroom. AC worked well! Points to improve on: Missing several knifes in block, no dishwashing liquid, no pot holders, no dish towels, couch itchy and uncomfortable, small TV in living area, stool screws loose , outside furniture rusted, only 4 coffee mugs, coffee pot only put out 8 cups even if put 12 cups of water, needs more light in bathroom, needs organizing and new utensils and plates.
