「The reviews on this have been variable so it’s time to weigh in with my own. Bottom line - if you want a decent stay for a cost-effective price, DO consider this. If you’re looking for the Ritz, it’s probably wrong for you. This is normally student accommodation and so is way better than a hostel while not being a hotel. 「Easy enough check in process and clean enough room- totally understand hotels are busier at a weekend with events on but I just don’t feel this box room was worth what I paid. To get right into the centre it was a 30 min walk almost. Check out at 10am was rubbish, lifts and stairs were packed with dozens of people running at 9:50am to reception- most hotels are 11am or even midday to check out. 「A little bit showing it’s age and therefor shabby. Bits of wood falling off in the kitchen, sofa springs at the end of their life, fuse box buzzing annoyingly, water pressure low. But then there were things that were just poor. Poor design, thoughtless. Like TVs that are rediculously high on the wall, mirrors that are too low, shower doors so big so that its a pain to get in and out of the bath, blackout curtains that don’t actually blackout because they have been mounted poorly and let in...
