Rip off merchants
Refused to bill in USD as per the booking, used an inflated rate to convert to local currency costing me 140 pounds more against the original booking. Clearly ripping people off intentionally. For context. They used 125 to the usd verses the interbank and change rate of 109 on the day. Rip off merchants

Not a pleasant stay
Check in was horrible. There was no line. People came from all over the place and overtaking. One of the manager was giving preference to his known people. The breakfast selection was good. Room service was slow. Overall, I will not stay there again.

Stayed there over Christmas and new year with 4 kids - very comfortable as its close to the airport. However, their airport pick/drop off service is poor. I specially asked for the shuttle service as we had 12 pieces of luggage, instead they sent me a HiAce, same happened again on drop off. There is a communication issue between staff desk and their concierge desk - requests/instructions are not tracked/followed through and you end up having to explain the same thing to 5/6 people before its resolved.

Excellent staff: starting from front desk to housecleaning, flawless service. I stayed in Dhaka Radison blu & Westin before, Le Meridien service is 100 times better. Tanzila Akhter and MATT @ the bufft restaurant provided the final touch on exceeding service. They greeted us every time we were there for breakfast or dinner. Tanzila Akhter actually remembered our beverage choice( Perrier water and Black coffee) and brought it to us before we could even ask her, Amazing hospitality. I would definitely stay there for all future business trips to Dhaka and I plan to be back in 12 weeks time. I never expected such hotel service in a city where customer service is not at par with USA. Very impressed.

I have visited to stay 3 times (back & forth) in my recent trip to Southeast Asia. Each time to check-in,I have to wait more than 30-mins to check in even though it was pre-paid reservation. at first June 18-21, 2nd June 30th, & lastly at July 10-13th. The staffs are very professional & excellent. Please reduce waiting time .

Nicest Hotel in Dhaka Perhaps...
A friend recommended this hotel to me after the poor last stay I had at what was previously the Sheraton. It did not disappoint and provided a nice, clean refuge from the streets. Overall, I don't think you can put this in a Five Star category for various reasons but certainly a solid Four Star outfit with hints of Five. Not particularly cheap either - rooms or otherwise. I guess you're paying for a place that works pretty well.

The buffet breakfast was amazing - what a wide selection to satisfy every palette. The gym was really good too. It had all the cardio and weight machines that you would need for a good workout. This will definitely be my hotel of choice in future while in Dhaka.

No reason to up charges two times for the room
This is my second time stay here The first time only me This time I stay with my boss and boyfriend I totally booked two room and paid through Expedia Check in - I had paid the upcharges almost 1600 hkd for extra person (3 nights) and they confirmed the payment is settled and I also got the receipt as well. Check out - they print out the bills to my boss for 3 times and very confused, the first bill is around 5000hkd, he said group my room cost....then have 2nd bill....the amount is 6000hkd. I have checked item is correct, but every item need top up service charges and head charges!! Anyway my boss settled the payment by credit card! After that ....he said the bill was incorrect,he print the 3rd bill to us , the payment is over 8000hkd. I found they put the room charges 1600hk into the bill again. I did not agree this payment since if they told me the total charges is 3200hkd per room, I can booked another room or upgrade the biggest room. They cannot explain it and they just said it was from the computer...... How comes? We ll not choosing this hotel again

Customers welcome, at a charge...!
Expensive, expensive, expensive. Hotel seems to prey on a captive market. Westerners cannot just wander the streets looking for alternatives. There is a charge for everything, and it should not feel that way. Hotel is otherwise comfortable. Heavy security presence due to terror threat is off putting, but better safe than sorry.

Extreme overpricing.
We arrived at 9.30am, and for the first time ever, we were to,d that we would have to pay additional fees, to check in earlier. I refused to accept this, and pointed out that I am an SPG Gold card holder. The hotel, that I had been told was full, suddenly wasn't. Very annoying, as we always check out by 9.00am next day. We were then inconviemved, because a colleague and myself were both given the same room. Food and drink at the hotel the exorbitantly priced, and the quality is not great, just mediocre. The hotel offers airport transport, but again its so over priced, it feels like you're being ripped off. Staff are generally a pleasure, and professional in their attitude towards guests. I don't think we will keep going back.

A good business stay at Hotel Le Meridien, Dhaka
A good hotel with very polite and cooperative and pleasantly behaving staff. Good food and good breakfast. I enjoyed staying. However, the hotel is a bit expensive as the price was on higher side.So net return on the stay would be on the lower side.

Great Stay
The hotel has a great location. The rooms are nice and spacious. The bathrooms were huge. I liked the buffet as well. They have a very wide spread.

great new hotel in Dhaka
the hotel is new and is fresh and clean the staff are excellent from the management to the cleaner check in was fast breakfast was really good and fresh there was a good selection the 15th floor bar was well stocked and the ambiance was relaxing after a long day the pool was also really good, at night you get a great view over the city. very convenient position for business meetings and access due to the new road lay out. security is also good.

Le Meridien is luxury hotel in Dhaka with all new facilities Only complaint is higher pricing on meals etc that comes with luxury accommodations. Five minutes from airport when leaving but little longer due to roads upon arrival. Be sure and go to top floors to see views of Dhaka
