「It was a very pleasant stay and with parking just outside your room and all on the first floor -- it marries convenience with a Luxe version hotel like you were staying in a fancy Big Sur resort: the rooms have fire places, and balconies which look out onto a forested area behind the hotel. It is also very quiet even though it is relatively close to a highway. Staff are attentive and helpful. The location is an easy 15-minute walk up up Sunset Dr. to Main St. If you are there over the weekend...

「Nice, pet friendly hotel. Things were pretty clean. Hot water with good water pressure. Comfortable bed. Make sure you leave by 11am or they will disable your key. We were loading the car and got locked out at 10:51am. Had to walk around the outside of the bldg to go ask them to re-activate the key for the last 10 minutes so we could finish loading the car. Decent indoor pool and hot tub. However, the hot tub was on the fritz and the jets barely worked. We made the best of it though. Overall...

「The Meadowbrook feels like it’s isolated but surprisingly it’s only steps from downtown! If you drive the other way you are on a central road to the rest of the area. The rooms are large, fresh and lovingly renovated (bathrooms not so much but perfectly adequate). The complimentary breakfast was homemade and delicious with an excellent variety of choices - really surpassed expectations. The only negative was that our AC (Room 304) was intermittently noisy - luckily I travel with noise cancelling...

「We stayed in a double queen room at Boxwood Lodge. Upon arrival staff was friendly and helpful. First room TV wasn’t working properly, changed room for us. Room was spacious and looked like it was somewhat updated, beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. Bathroom is in need of some updating. Worked fine but needs a facelift. Grounds are satisfactory. Only problem was we were on the first floor of the two story queen building. People in room above were very noisy until 1am....

Two things not so great.1) No window at least in our room. 2) paying for parking in a gravel lot down behind hotel across a street. A good 100 yard walk up hill to get to hotel.over all I would still give a 3.5 out of 5 rating. 」
