The location of this hotel is great, 15 min walk from Denbies and right at the base of Box Hill for a hike. The pool is nice but you can't use it after check out and it closes at 7 even in the middle of summer! The Air Con did not work. The room was fine but quite old and tired. Overall great for location but not a luxurious stay

The room and hallways/landing were outdated, dirty and in desperate need of renovation. Mattress was poor - worthy of a skip. It was the worst room I’ve ever stayed in. Supposedly this was a DELUXE double!!! If it wasn’t for the fact we were due at a party in Dorking that evening and didn’t arrive to the hotel until 6.30pm, we would have insisted on either another room or ideally our money back and moved to another hotel.

The reception area has clearly been refurbished, unlike the rooms and corridors which need some serious TLC. The staff are so helpful and friendly. Parking costs £10 per day which given the hotel is somewhere people drive to is basically a way of charging less for a room and making it up via the parking charge.

Hotel looks like it needs refurbishment. However the swimming pool is excellent & the rooms are clean. The access is a 6 digit code to your room, which you have to remember which is annoying. Also you have to pay for parking.

Very disappointing stay. Staff failed to mention air con wasn’t working during a heatwave until I came down from my room to ask why it was so hot and getting hotter. Offered waffle and excuses. Very noisy all night. Wooden floor sticky at breakfast. Looks like it used to be a nice place. Needs a good clean and some staff training.

The air conditioning system was not working at all, no air coming out and the grill was not clean. The unit was so noisy. The soap, shampoo dispensers in the shoer area was either not re-filled properly, they were not working as well. The towel was not the bath size towels and pretty old towels. The whole room especially bath area need renovation.
