“A bit far from St Marco. Check-in process was great and the gentleman was very professional. All perfect except for checking out. I booked a pickup at the hotel and the lady insisted that I walked 10 min away over to the taxi port with heavy luggage to meet the driver there. How could I tell which driver and car? I ended up meeting the driver at the hotel but why did I have to fight for that? ”

“My family and I stayed at Alla Corte Rossa and had really good experience! We highly recommend and will for sure, book this place when we come back. LOCATION It is within walking distance to the Grand Canal; to the Venezia Sta Lucia train station; to Piazzale Roma where the water bus stations are and where there’s a couple grocery stores; to a few restaurants and bars; to the bus terminal so we didn’t have to cross huge bridges with our luggages when we arrived and left, etc. Just perfect……

“The hotel was excellent, clean, and the staff were very nice. The only thing that I was upset about is that when cleaning the room, our air conditioner was turned off so the room was very hot when we got back. It also was not done being cleaned by late afternoon when we wanted to come back and rest before dinner.”

It’s quiet and peaceful, yet just a short walk to the Accademia vaporetto stop. Rooms are spacious and the air conditioning works well, though the shower doors could use an upgrade.”

“La Calcina is the perfect place to stay in Venice. The location is perfect, you can walk to the main places of interest. Everywhere else is accessible from the water bus stop nearby. Our room was amazing, with fabulous views. The only negative was the variable temperature of the shower. Samuel, Lorella and all the staff at the front desk were helpful and friendly. All the waiting staff were also very friendly and welcoming.”

“Very nice small boutique hotel with only 5 rooms. I like the design/deco a lot. Very close to ferry pier if you are from Rovinj. A little longer walk from the centre but it is acceptable. Quiet and clean room. Wonderful owner and staff. They are very helpful and responsive. I would certainly stay again.”

“I booked this hotel because of SLH , it's cost 700Euro , but more like 4 star business hotel , you should pass very dark aisle to your room, it's like staff access, the room's decoration is really rough. People works here , nice and helpful ”
