“This property was quite charming and as described in the listing. It met all of our needs and the location to stores in Stockholm was terrific. There were a few things that surprised us (not negatives, we just didn’t expect these:TRAINS: The house is about 150’ from two train tracks. Trains run all day/night at periodic intervals. The good news is they don’t blare their horns when running through Stockholm. But the trains are noisy, and we didn’t see anything about this in the listing. It is……

“They greeted us when we arrived and taught us the history of the property. The cottage was a great place to stay and we loved the grill and fire pit!”

“What a wonderful location and spectacular lodging accommodations. The home was immaculate with lots of comfortable places to sit and relax. Beautiful view of the lake. Wonderful outdoor firepit area. The host was very responsive and so nice. Even helped me retrieve a bag I accidently left behind. The kitchen had everything necessary to make a meal and there was a great coffee bar. Definitely recommend, and would stay there again.”

“Handy restaurant across the parking lot but with the windows closed there is definitely a motor oil/engine odor that would be unacceptable if the windows could not be opened.”

“We loved the property, every amenity was available to us within the cabin and it was easy to find! The location was very convenient to Chetek and Rice Lake. ”

“We had a fun weekend and the cottage was so cute. However the beds were really uncomfortable, there was not enough linens/blankets for all of us. We made the best of it, but the place was a bit dirty, and we decided not to swim or kayak because the beach had a lot of trash and dead fish. ”
