Great host great location

We really enjoyed our stay. Hosts were very responsive and the house was just what we were looking for. Great location. It is close enough to the city for quick trips and also secluded enough to feel like you’ve got a whole mountain to yourself.

Amazing views and a great stay

The photos do not do this house justice. The drive up from the valley to the home lets you know you are in for a treat. The views from the home across the valleys are amazing and the hosts were great. The proximity to Durango was perfect. Close enough to get into town in 10 minutes, but far enough away so you just hear the crickets at night.

The location is awesome—no one around except for the owner’s big house nearby. We met Bill, the owner, when we arrived. He was very nice and showed us around. His wife baked a loaf of bread and left it on the kitchen counter, and we ended up eating it all! We also saw a coyote and some deer on the property. We’ll definitely be back in the future.

Beautiful mountain home

Great house! Feels like home which is very different than many of the houses we stay in. So many are just corporate rental properties that provide the basics. Owners are very involved with making your stay memorable. Would definatly return if we are in the area again.

Two old college friends exploring Durango area and local mountain scenery. Our stay was most enjoyable, actually one of the best maintained VRBO properties we have rented. This property is the perfect location to get away, but is still close enough to town when you’d like to go hopping or dine out. The mountains surround this beautiful property, and the owners are just up the way, ready to help with whatever is needed. When we accidentally locked ourselves out, they were right there to help us. They had even baked a loaf of homemade banana bread that was waiting for us when we arrived! There were so many places you could sit outside to enjoy the views. We saw deer, chipmunks, a variety of birds, and rabbits around the property. We also took breathtaking photos of the surrounding mountains, and the valley below. The house had everything we needed and the atmosphere was picture perfect. We plan to return again!

Perfect Private Cabin Outside Durango

This was a lovely home base for a weekend in and around Durango. The hosts are extremely friendly and inviting, though you very much have your own space. Great views and a great time! We look forward to returning.

Amazing stay

We loved this place! We VRBO often and this is one of our all time favorites. Beautiful views and so peaceful. Owners are very nice, great people. Bonnie made us some 5 star banana bread. I would absolutely stay here again.

If you want an "out of town" but close to town experience, this is it. Right at 5 mins to the heart of Durango, but you feel like you are 2 hrs out. Incredible views from the front and back areas and the firepit. Comfortable, clean and modern accommodations. And the host is the best! Very welcoming and friendly, and has great suggestions for things to do in the area. Great stay

Perfect location with a wonderful view!

We were looking for a great place to stay in Durango and did we find it. The location was within minutes of town and also had the view you come to Colorado for. The owners treated us like family and made sure our stay was comfortable. If your looking for quick access to town, a view, wildlife, and a cozy location then look no further!

We enjoyed our stay at mount memories. Home was comfortable, clean, well equipped and up todate. Close to town but far enough away to avoid the crowds. Owner was gracious and love the banana bread prepared by Ms. Bonnie. Would recommend for a nice getaway.

Incredible place with amazing hosts

The house and amenities were fantastic! The house and kitchen had everything you could need. Our 6 and 8 year old had the best time, there were kids books, toys, a horseshoe pit, and tons of space they could explore. The views are incredible from the balcony, the out door dining table, or exploring the land. Bill and Bonnie were the ultimate hosts! We can’t wait to go come back. If you are looking for a place to relax, be in nature, and close to town this is it. This was our favorite VRBO to date!
