Great Purgatory Rental

Property is ideally located to Purgatory Resort. Host is very helpful and replies quickly to any questions. This location was great for our family, highly recommend!

Wonderful place!

We had the best time in Durango. The house was spotless, plenty of room and perfect location. Anything you could want is in there. Owner was great to work with and helped out with any questions. Hope to go back in the summer!!

To our delight we got 13" of snow. The children really loved swimming in the heated pool in the middle of a snowstorm. We were very pleased by the idea that they could sled just off the back of the cabin back porch in the fresh snow. the unit had an abundance of cooking utensils, pots and pans, as well as resort gifts and amenities that were a pleasant surprise. Above our expectations, the perfect mountain getaway we were looking for! Highly recomend.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This house was in a great location with easy access to the lifts. It does not have a personal hot tub. For an additional fee you can gain access to the shared facility that has hot tubs and heated pool. We did not do this as we thought it was overpriced and an inconvient walk from the unit. The accommodations were good with plenty of room for our large group of eight adults and seven children. The dishwasher did not work well and we think it needs the filters cleaned. The only problem we experienced was with the parking. Instructions said there were spaces for three vehicles but we could decipher where the third space was located and when I called the management company the representative said she could not tell from the instructions where it was but that she would find out and call us the next day, but we never recieved a call back. We just had to park the third vehicle in the main parking lot which was not very convenient.

Purgatory Ski Trip

The location was perfect for our ski trip. There was an abundance of space for our party of 6. My kids loved sledding down the slopes right off the porch after the lifts closed. This unit is a very short walk to Purgatory Village which was very convenient. There were little care kits in each bathroom with shampoo, conditioner, soap, lotion and linen spray. There was a kitchen kit with a sponge, small thing of dish soap, hand soap and a couple of dishwasher pods. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Cons: parking…One thing to note if you go during the winter, there was only barely parking for 2 vehicles. One inside the garage and one in the driveway. This unit had leaky gutters and therefore coming out the front door and down the driveway was dangerously icy! We had a couple of falls. Also, there was a ginormous icicle hanging from the roof that actually fell while we were out skiing and dented our brand new truck. There needs to be a little more attention to the outside maintenance for safety reasons. The upstairs bathroom tub did not drain well. There were no dish towels provided so make sure to bring plenty of paper towels or take some from the bathrooms. One other annoying thing was that there were no extra trash bags for the kitchen trash can. I reached out to the host and they said they would bring some but they never did. None of these things would prevent me from coming back but just some things to note. The host was always quick to respond if we had questions.

Best ski vacation we’ve ever had

This place was great! The location was fantastic. The house was very comfortable and it really gave our family a great experience in the mountains. Those who wanted to ski could come and go and those Who preferred to ski less or not at all also had a great time. We plan on doing it again again next year

If I were to improve anything, I would buy new taller toilets and plumbing fixtures in the bathrooms, some were a bit drippy and toilets were running despite our best efforts. But overall it was far above beautiful and practical. We got in easily with the code.
