  • The Stonehouse Studio is located in an historic stone building a half block off of Main Avenue in downtown Durango. You can walk to all the shops, restaurants, galleries and bars in minutes from this centrally located apartment. A king size bed, clawfoot tub and shower, and well equipped kitchen provide you with the comforts and conveniences of home. Close to mountain biking, hiking, the river and the Durango Silverton Narrow gauge railway. This property puts you close to everything Durango has to offer. We loved staying here while in Durango! It was perfectly located to downtown so we were able to walk to restaurants and shops. The apartment was exceptionally clean, well stocked, and was artfully decorated. The garden area was beautiful and peaceful. George was a great host!

This was our second time staying in this very special place! That should tell you how much we adore it! A little hidden oasis right in the middle of town- SO convenient to all Durango has to offer, yet very private. Very clean, and easy on the eyes as it is full of the owners artwork and building expertise. The building itself is very historic. However as ancient as it is, the electric and plumbing are first rate. The shower pressure is awesome! We loved staying here, and hope to do so again in the future!

This beautiful loft was perfect and so close to all the restaurants and coffee shops. If you have a large truck or suv, be prepared to park on the street. Bring a laptop if you want to watch your shows or just enjoy the scenery. The views are amazing and the book collection is great. We had a short 30 minute drive to Purgatory ski resort. So much to do in Durango and surrounding areas. Enjoy!

Great location - perfect getaway

This is a great location for visiting the area. Walk to breakfast and dinner downtown, everything is close. We visit the area annually and will definitely stay again.

Perfect downtown spot

We had a lovely stay at this cozy, art-filled studio. It was a convenient spot for downtown restaurants, galleries and the Durango to Silverton railway. And it gave us a quiet space to decompress after sightseeing.

The Perfect Spot

This cozy location is the perfect spot - downtown, restaurants, shopping, park and more are all just a short walk away. The property manager is very friendly, responsive and always willing to help even if it's just recommending local sites to see.
