“Kingslodge Inn is a lovely English country inn conveniently located near Durham train station and bus station. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the bar & restaurant offer great good in a cozy environment. Just note that there isn't an elevator; I had to carry my big suitcase one floor up.”

“Overall, the room is warm and comfortable although it is relatively small, sufficient for move of one person. The bathroom is large and warm. One drawback is the location is not near to Durham town Center (35 -40 minutes walking distance) and go some slopes before reach the hotel. ”

“Definitely not a 4 star property. It was decent but not great. It is the only place I've ever stayed where the wifi signal doesn't even reach the 2nd floor - we couldn't use it at all. The floor squeaked and creaked with every step. I understand that it's an older building but it wasn't ideal.”

“Comfy room, generous towels. Arrived late Friday evening, no bother getting a table in the pub downstairs for food- they don't take table reservations, so I wasn't at a disadvantage. Good wide choice on the menu and attentive service. There was a nightwatchman for after hours- what a treasure! He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. A real asset to the Old……

“We used the Pickled Parson as a home base for a month while visiting family. The room we had for that duration of a stay was a little small, but it was comfortable, clean and made up daily. The staff were all amazing and really made us feel at home. A very relaxed atmosphere with great breakfast options. The bar was a great option to wind down at the end of the day with a night cap. Situated on the village green, it is a perfect place to sit out in the warmer weather with great tea shops and……

“Really nice place to stay, I'd come back for a short stay again. The full English breakfast was good, my friend thought that his pancakes were under done, the scrambled eggs were out of a packet & watery. The bar was well stocked with a reasonable selection of beers. The only downside was that they don't serve food after 1600 on a Sunday. ”

“Pleasant stay. Clean room. A not too loud alarm did disturb our sleep a little but it must have been nothing untoward? - fire regulations said to wait in bedroom until otherwise advised... fortunately no such advice was forthcoming!”
