「Great location less than10 minutes from Durham, so the perfect base without the price tag of Durham hotels. The staff where friendly and welcoming. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. We did not try the dinner options, but it's a lovely, friendly pub. Our room was a great size and the bed was comfy with a lovely feather duvet. Would definetly stay again. Alina & Steve」

「Our stay at Burnhopeside Hall was one of our most memorable ever. Christine, our hostess, was delightful and helpful. The room was spacious and the surroundings could not have been more grand. This is a stately old home, full of beautiful furniture and dishes, near sheep pastures and the river. 「As usual, friendly welcome, clean rooms, nice bed, great food, great service and the hotel I prefer to stay when in the area.」

「Not great for EV drivers as when you take the car to charge, you cannot return to the hotel to park. And the cleanliness in the bathroom prevented me from bathing my 3 year old.」

「I did a last minute booking as I was kicked out from the other inn having they over sold their rooms. Since the late booking, it hasn’t gone through the system, there was a trouble in checking in. Luckily, a male college join in later and helped me to sort out the issue and finally I got a room to stay! 」
