“The property was fantastic, its not on the water but the Mississippi is 5 blocks away. There is a small fire pit and a grill in the backyard. The backyard is a little underwhelming but it was dark and our group enjoyed the fire.We had multiple groups come through and spend the night. There were plenty of sheets and blankets to do a full bed change for each group. We had to use our own Disney sign in but there was a smart tv in the living room and every bedroom.”

“Great location to baseball fields we played at. Great neighborhood with close proximity to most of our needs with children (eating options, coffee shops, ice cream, and city swimming pool). The house met our needs and was very clean/comfortable! Host was very prompt in answering our questions! Would definitely stay here again should our travels bring us back to Dyersville again!”

“We could not have asked for a better place, very comfortable, spacious, a very welcoming host (even invited us to dinner at his son’s restaurant), but the best part was an amazing property. If you love old farm houses this as good as it gets!We did the Driftless 100 in Elkader and stayed 2 nights maximizing everything from the modern kitchen to the comfy living room & beds to a perfectly placed fire pit to watch the sunset and sip bourbon after the race. ”

“Our host was really helpful and made things super easy. We were just passing through for work and typically sat in a hotel room but there were just no good choices in Manchester, IA so we found this lovely place on the lake. It was very clean , quiet and comfortable. The bed I slept in was in the master and it was really comfortable!! I would definitely stay here again! Very nice place with a nice view on the lake!!”

“This unique place has it all: charm, class, comfort, beauty, and fun. When you first walk in, you are greeted with a gorgeous staircase leading to most of the rooms. Our room was spacious, with a luxurious bathroom. The gourmet kitchen is equipped for anything and everything with seating for eight. The adjoining dining room has a large table with additional seating and windows lining two walls. And clean! This VRBO was impressively clean! I have to say the jail was a little eery after dark, but……

“We have stayed at the Elkader Jail House many times and the Harstad Suite is a great room for the 4 of us. The large kitchen and family space on the first floor provide plenty of space for everyone to get together and relax. Its nearby my family and takes the stress off anyone needing to make space for all of us to sleep. Its comfortable, clean and an easy to walk downtown. We'll be back soon!”
