「We love staying here because of the location, but it is a bit overpriced for what you get. One of the bedrooms is literally just that. A room with a bed. No tv, not even a bedside table. Nowhere to even put your clothes. 」

「Overall very good experience. This is the 3rd time we have stayed here. Clean, comfortable room at a reasonable price. The breakfast is pretty basic and no real amenities (there is an outdoor pool) but for the price can’t beat it. 」

「The Kress was an amazing surprise for my wife and I during a quick overnighter to meet up with some old childhood friends. I grew up in this area and the downtown district had been forgotten. It was great to see this place back to life. The Kress has done an excellent job restoring this old department store. The rooms are incredible with large common space and bedrooms. I wished we had booked an extra night. 」

「Clean, spacious room with comfortable beds and pillows. Could not hear any cars or trucks but heavy footsteps from upstairs and people talking from next door. Free simple breakfast. The air conditioner was a bit loud. Hallway smelled like smoke but room did not.」

「pretty spot on the river - dinner was closed and we got pushed out of bar and it was just before 9:00 on Saturday - sleepy town all food on Saturday in area seems to stop serving at 9:00」

「The breakfast was very poor. The room was clean and the bathroom we had to step around the toilet to shut the door. That was nice.」

「The hotel is in a wonderful location, on the beach and short drive to everything the island has to offer. The hotel is a little dated, but the cleanliness of the hotel, the friendly staff, along with the beautiful pool and jacuzzi were great! My wife and I will definitely be back.」

「We were put in a handicap room and we did not request this. Our lights did not work and the staff just said it’s the only room we have. No apology or request to address the issue. My husband had to find the breaker and trip the switch for lights and he also had to attach the toilet seat! The worst hotel experience I have ever had! 」
