「Great place to stay!!」

「The Guinness Arms had character rooms and the hallway was just as nice. Our room had aircon and also a skylight which had retractable blinds if you wanted to look at the sky or not. Room was clean and cosy with coffee and tea facilities. A bottle of water was also supplied with a selection of biscuits. Iron and board in cupboard for those who want to sort the creases out. 「The location was easy to find using satnav and the access is very easy. There is ample parking in a quiet location. An unusual feature is that all rhe rooms are purpose built modern units detached from the much older public house part which also houses the restaurant. There is also a beer garden area with some shade. The benefit of this layout is that there are no staircases or lifts to navigate to get to your room. My room was exceptionally large, and my first impression was how cool it felt...

「Arrived to find the place locked up and had to make a phone call for someone to come to the pub to give us our room key. Apparently there was a problem of having no electricity due to the heat. No evening meal available and no bar; breakfast was average, with some folk having to wait a long time for service. The place was clean and room was comfortable.」

「We enjoyed a lovely evening and overnight stay here. Katie gave us a warm welcome on arrival and she and her team were excellent throughout our stay. There is a clear focus on customer service. Our room (4 -The Aviary) was perfect and had a beautiful bathroom with free standing bath as well as a shower. Our evening meal and breakfast were excellent. We can't fault this place - great for an overnight stay 」

「The property was very dated, with a need of a deep clean and decor update. Carpets were stained and our particular room had a unpleasent smell. Overall the property has seen better days, I guess this is reflected in a lower than average room price for the area. Staff however were very friendly and although we did not eat a main meal, the portions looked generous and other guests appeared content. Suggest read the available reviews and make you own decision.」

「Good evening, firstly I’d like to say that the start of our stay was very welcoming and professional. However just a few things that I’d like to touch on, our bed was dirty, the duvet had a urine stain on it, the hot tub was filthy and had a hose pipe that my partner nearly tripped up on and had to move to a secure place out of harms way. 「There isn't anything I liked . The hotel was awful, staff unhelpful even after we complained. The manger was useless and unhelpful. The shower was broken bed side cabinet was also broken . I arrived late due to being held up at work so called ahead, the chap on the phone was kind enough to wait 1hr30 past the check-in deadline for me to get there, thank you! Had only booked the single room for 1 night, while the room could be classed as a little snug it was nothing less than very comfortable. 「Absolutely beautiful place, in fabulous surroundings, with an interesting back story. Very comfortable bed and top quality bed linen and towels. The decor was superb, the breakfast was delicious and the owners and staff were wonderful. Would definitely stay there again when visiting family in the area.」
