「I've stayed here a number of times over the years and found they have made noticable improvements recently, possibly with anticipation of the eclipse which I'm getting ready to watch right now. The beds are excellent, the towels and bedding are fresh and maintenance responded promptly when a minor adjustment was needed for the toilet seat. They even provided a "survival pack" for eclipse travelers with water and snacks, a very pleasant surprise. I travel to this area fairly often, and plan to...

「The property is amazing. Pictures do not do the gardens justice. The visiting horse and friendly cats were a plus. The pool is cloudy and needs more frequent cleaning than the weekly service due to its location under trees. The outdoor furniture also needs cleaning as do the dishes in the house. But you will hardly notice because the gardens are so well maintained and the hot tub works amazing.」

「It was a great place for our group to gather to watch the eclipse, and then visit with each other afterwards. Very historic house with potential to be even more grand if renovations continue. The gazebo is nice. The yard would be even better with a garden or flowering trees. We enjoyed exploring the house. So much room!」

「My partner and I stayed in the Starr Loft this past Memorial Day weekend and it was an absolute hit! The pictures are accurate but still don't capture how cool the place is - make sure to look for the little bits of history inside the place like the turn-of-the-century decorations and pictures. Plus you have convenient street parking right outside the loft, breakfast for 2 at Roscoe's with your reservation, and it's more affordable than almost any hotel you'd find. We're already planning next...
