This basement suite is bright, airy, and fresh. The main area has an open flow between the kitchen and living room. Spacious 2 bedroom with closets & double beds. Suite is fully furnished, including high speed WIFI, TELUS Optic TV,LCD TV. Kitchen has stove, microwave, dishwasher & Fridge. 1 full bathroom & a laundry room. Non smoking. Separate entrance and street parking available.

Tenants upstairs were Very noisy throughout my entire stay! My message to owners first two days didn’t help much; I decided to knock on the tenants’ door to remind them of my stay in basement only to have the man literally slam the door on my face!! I tried switching bedrooms to escape the noise but the water drain pipes were adjacent the smaller bedroom —every toilet flush (incl washer &dishwasher usage) of loud gushing water could be heard. The larger bedroom had a vent DIRECTLY over the headboard/pillows (I had to cover my face to keep the air from blowing on my face) a deflector would have helped!!Also, since the tenants controlled the heat, I was uncomfortably cold and slept wearing my winter coat along with any blankets I could find. The pillow and mattress protector were soiled (I saw it after stripping the bed per house rules) and felt repulsed. It was a miserable stay!!

Clean and beautiful space, we had everything we needed and the hosts were communicating well. The upstairs tenants were not that noisy, only heard the sounds of them moving around now and then. Access to the unit was easy and it is very central to so many places close by. Downsides are that the beds squeek a lot, and the kitchen sponges were old and gross. We used our own.

Comfortable stay

The property was fairly clean and well kept. Nice location with close access to transit and amenities. Good response time from owner when questions were asked.

Noise, debris in the yard, smoking

The cozy basement suite was dark, and there was no additional roll of toilet paper. I stayed 2 nights but not enough on the roll for my stay. The lightbulbs were burned out in the bathroom. Shade on lamp in living room cracked. And the noise from above and cigarette smoke was just not nice. Not to mention the old mattress and chair in the backyard. Disgusting.

We found the people staying upstairs were very noisy at all hours of the night. The parking was also restricted because of their vehicle. The apartment was good. It was very close to downtown which was good. There were a few maintenance issues.

Excellent!

My colleague and I stayed here for a week in June 2024. We appreciated the private entrance to the basement suite, as well as the high ceilings, as it didn't feel like a cramped basement suite. We used the full kitchen, preparing several meals there. The kitchen was good, but missing a few things (knives, mixing bowls, scissors). The beds and pillows were very comfortable! The owner was responsive when we had concerns about the noise level upstairs, and he took care of it right away.
