We loved our girl's weekend at Mountian Waters. Such a beautiful property with the creeks running through it!! The kitchen is very well stocked (except for a crockpot) The bedrooms are large and comfortable each having its own bathroom. The living room was great as a gathering place with a large fireplace and huge TV , and all of the nooks and places to escape to if you just wanted a minute to have a quiet time or talk on the phone was perfect. We did have a strong storm blow through and the power went out for a few hours during the night but we survived. All 4 of us are talking about renting again and bringing our husbands next time. Just so we have someone to stoke and keep the fire going. Haha
This house has a great kitchen for entertaining with everything you could imagine. It also needs some upgrading and major cleaning throughout. The jacuzzi has not been cleaned in a while and was not even usable. The fire pit and stream are an awesome addition to the outdoor area. We had a great time!
This home is large yet set up to feel cozy. All the amenities included! There were 8 of us and we never felt the least bit crowded. It was very easy to be in a private area if desired. Large kitchen allowed for several of us to prepare a meal and the large table accommodated us to eat and to later play family games. The babbling stream was calming & soothing. Sitting around the outdoor fire pit was the perfect way to unwind from a day of visiting the local shops, farms/orchards, parks & waterfalls, and wineries. There is a small sitting/reading nook complete with a variety of books to choose from (in case you forgot yours). This place is my dream destination.
Property was everything it said it would be and more. Beautiful setting and as well equipped for cooking and entertaining as any VRBO I've ever stayed at. We will return:)

Gorgeous home, with wonderful creek flowing around it. Setting is very peaceful!
This was a great place for our family of 9. Loved the screened in porches! Our 6 & 9 yr old grandkids loved wading in the creek! Lots of privacy, but close enough to activities. We hiked every day & loved having the trails right behind our cabin! We enjoyed shopping & dining in Ellijay & Blue Ridge. Can't wait to visit again!!
This was honestly one of the nicest mountain homes my group has ever been to. The land was just incredible. The lazy river weaving around the property, the sound of water, the privacy and peace. And the uniquely designed and spacious home made for a wonderful time! The kitchen was absolutely massive, well stocked and so organized!!! Anything you need for a comfortable weekend away!
We had the most wonderful time! So much for the kids to do! They stayed in the creek all day! Parents thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. We have never been to the same place twice but will definitely return here! Only issue was ants but you are in the middle of the woods, so we just made sure food was put away always.
This home was as advertised and more! The pictures don’t do the lovely property justice. We had 4 couples in our party and had more than enough room to be together or apart. All the beds were comfortable and the living room accommodated all of us. Area with fire pit had enough seating and made for some fun memories! There is absolutely nothing missing in the kitchen to prepare food! And tons of storage. Our poodle was at home almost immediately and enjoyed exploring the grounds and creek.
Cannot wait to return!!
We stayed at Mountain Waters Lodge with our grown daughters and their partners and everyone had a blast. The house was clean and comfortable. The home had plenty of room and a fabulous kitchen. There were plenty of porches and decks to enjoy the views, no matter what the weather. The grounds were gorgeous! The pool and ping pong tables were a huge hit. We had a slight snag with one of the a/c's not working the evening we arrived (we stayed in July), but management went above and beyond to fix the situation by the next day. We were very impressed with the effort and very grateful for their attentiveness. We would definitely recommend this home!
The house is dated. Very humid in the master bedroom. The carpet was gross. No bath mats. I was told there were just a few stairs. The property was beautiful and many aspects of the house were nice. I was not told there was no cell service. I had to call the EMS through the house phone and then could not contact the hospital because it was long distance unless I drove done the road. It was not isolated and there were no trails. I was disappointed because this property was expensive.
Our stay was during Christmas week. The management company is a dream to work with. I contacted them because there was a storm due to come in the day we were to arrive. I was able to work with them on getting into the house the day before. The house is well maintained. It is a rental property, yes some things are dated but all in all it’s very comfortable. There is just one thing that should be specified in the description. The second bedroom upstairs is not really a bedroom, one wall is open. It’s more of a loft bedroom. We only needed three bedrooms for six of us, but if you’re traveling with four couples it could be an issue. There is an issue with a funky smell in the master bedroom closets but it doesn’t leak into the bedroom. We didn’t use them, thankfully there is more than enough drawer space. The kitchen is huge, with everything you need to make full meals. The house sits on a magical property. It’s beautiful. The surrounding creek, bridge and fire pit make it perfect. We were lucky enough to get snow, which turned it into a winter wonderland. We did buy a lot of wood to keep the fireplaces going, which did get very expensive. During warmer weather, there are a number of screened in porches to sit and enjoy the sound of the creek. There are neighbors but you don’t even realize they’re there. Yes there are some issues with the house but they’re minor. It was a great place to spend the holidays.
The location of the house was PERFECT. It's on a long dirt road that was fun for family walks. The property had the most beautiful clear stream curving around it with picturesque bridges. My kids spent HOURS and HOURS playing in the creek (we brought buckets, sieves, shovels, etc) and exploring the property. They also loved catching little fish with a net from the dock on the pond. We really enjoyed taking dips in the hot tub, but it didn't feel like it ever got really hot. The fire pit was great and the perfect setting for a campfire and smores with the peaceful bubbling brook nearby. It was a short walk up the road to a trailhead that leads to the Pinhoti Trail. A neighbor happened to tell us how to find the Pinhoti Trail, otherwise we would never have known this. We hiked towards the mountain and enjoyed a really nice trail and views.
The house itself was very dated... like a time machine into the 1990s. There was so much old decor everywhere you looked. The house was big but the layout was a little odd. For instance, the kitchen was far from the family room and one of the bedrooms was really a loft over the kitchen. The bed mattresses were comfortable but the pillows were so lumpy and the comforters were really thin and old (one bedroom had a nice fluffy duvet, the others all and thin quilts or comforters). MANY of the light fixtures had non-working lightbulbs and it just felt like the place needs to be updated or at least maintained a little better. It was surprising that the kitchen had really high-end Kitchen Aid appliances (including a pellet ice maker and separate drink drawers) and a Wolf stove while the bedroom linens were so old and flimsy. Another thing to note is that the house has a huge selection of DVDs. Our kids combed through them, picked a few, and were excited to have movie night on our last night...only to discover that none of the DVD players actually worked. We thought we'd salvage movie night with Netflix, but the Netflix app was outdated and couldn't be updated, so we weren't able to log in and use it. One really nice thing is that the house came with firewood to use on the family room and kitchen fireplaces (although we used ours in the fire pit outside).
Overall, I'd stay here again if we were guaranteed great weather to be outdoors the whole time. The yard/setting was so, so nice. Being inside was not as pleasant since it felt a little neglected. Just replacing all the burned out lightbulbs would go a long way.
The home is beautiful the pictures don’t even do it justice the beds comfortable linens nice kitchen unbelievable my only concern is the ants are a persistent problem even got inside some of our saran wrapped food. Master shower needs attention regarding mold. I do have concerns about the front door not having any type of railing that might help especially for older guest, but truly it was beautiful thank you
Both the inside and outside of the property was beautiful. The cabin was well-stocked with all the utinsels we needed. And notes all around explaing everything we needed to know. A VERY pleasant stay!
Property and house were beautiful. Everything was great and we enjoyed ourselves! We especially had fun in the hot tub, fire pit, and racing ducks in the creek. Thank you for labeling everything and providing the driving directions from Ellijay.
We did have the ice machine break down on us and the ants in the kitchen and bathroom adjacent to the kitchen. I appreciated the property management letting me know what was going on. I just wished they had contacted me when they found out the pest control was not coming out instead of me having to reach back to them. A text would have worked too.
Thank you for having us.
Tracy
Everything was great loved the location in the outside is gorgeous but we did have to put our fruit in zipblog bags and wash it multiple times cuz there was ants on the counter tops had to clean the countertops multiple times and we did find spiders and webs inside the cabin other than that we had a good experience
We enjoyed the cleanliness of the house - in fact, one of the cleanest rentals we’ve ever had. We enjoyed walking around the loop surrounding the house and its neighbors. The yard was exceptionally beautiful and the stream was delightful. We enjoyed the hot tub which was very clean. The kitchen was great and the ice maker and extra fridge drawers in addition to the full size fridge came in handy. The beds were comfortable and the 4 bathrooms came in handy. The pool table and ping pong table were a nice addition.
Cons: it was difficult to get the kitchen/dining area to cool off. The rest of the house was freezing just to keep the dining room and kitchen at a bearable temperature. The lighting in the house was dim and made it difficult to work in the kitchen. We had to ask for a repair to the freezer in the fridge and even after having a repairman come out, it still didn’t get cold enough to keep our ice cream frozen.
All in all, a great stay because of the yard and the neighborhood and the cleanliness of the house.
