Great location and great house with terrific hosts

The location is steps from the beach and in the heart of Encinitas so close to great restaurants and stores. Our hosts were terrific and available for whenever we had questions. We plan to stay there again!

Making Memories

We found the perfect place close to the beach, great food, and Legoland. With the 3 levels it gave everyone the space they needed. The hosts are amazing and very prompt with all our needs. I highly recommend Ocean Blue. We hope to come back.

Amazing beach house in great location

Wonderful house that was clean, spacious and in a perfect location. Great view from the decks. Garage has 7-9 beach chairs, 5+ boogie boards, beach toys, pickleball set, etc. 30 seconds from the beach. We had adult children and teens and all enjoyed the house. Amazing!

Ideal Location

This lovely beach home has an unparalleled view of Moonlight Beach which is just steps away. You can easily walk to shops and restaurants on 101. There is ample room on multiple decks for lounging, grilling & sunsets. The hosts communicate well to answer any questions. We hope to return in the near future!

Fabulous

We had such a great time here in this really cool house. Views and location cannot be beat. The multiple decks with comfortable lounge furniture were awesome, and the layout of the inside provided an open feel yet also allowed for privacy. Many beach chairs, boogie boards, toys, wagon all appreciated. The beach is currently going through some renovation/repair due to the fierce storms this past winter, but the work appears to be moving quickly and it should be restored to its glorious self soon. The noise from the trucks was minimal, we heard more gorgeous ocean waves than anything else! Thank you to the hosts for providing all the extras/details in the bathrooms and kitchen and for checking in and offering more even though nothing was needed. An excellent vacation and we can’t wait to return.

Ocean Blue Beach House at Moonlight Beach, Encinitas CA

Our family of 4 spent a week at Ocean Blue in Encinitas. So happy to be back in Encinitas after an 8 year hiatus, we forgot how much we love the town & especially Moonlight Beach. The home we used to rent was sold so it was our first time using VRBO and finding (and taking a chance on) Ocean Blue. The house was absolutely fantastic. With multiple terraces overlooking Moonlight Beach and the Pacific Ocean, the house is large enough for 8 people, very clean and very well stocked both with all the house wear, bedding and towels, etc. you’d expect, but also beach accessories (chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, games etc). The house is perfectly situated literally about a 2 minute walk (if not less) until your feet are touching the sand of Moonlight Beach. The hosts of the home are delightful and were both very accessible for questions, as well as very welcoming with coffee and snacks (even a lovely bottle of Prosecco), a handwritten welcome note, all of which was very delightful and welcoming. The house was very clean and very well taken care of …. It is truly a “beach house”. It’s also in a perfect neighbourhood, very quiet and respectful and while close to the beach provides lots of solitude when you want it. Walks north through the gorgeous neighbourhood of Neptune Street and surrounding areas to Leucadia are beautiful and walks south take you along the ocean. So perfectly situated. Easy walk into town to great coffee shops, diners and restaurants. Highly recommend Ocean Blue f

Memorial Day weekend

Amazing stay. The property is larger than it looks in the pictures. Surfboards, boogie boards, and beach toys abound. The pool table is professionally balanced and maintained. We had such a great time, we forgot to get ice cream down the street.

Perfect for Family Beach Vacation

Very nice property with convenient parking for multiple vehicles. Perfect for two couples with older sons and daughters. Just steps from a great beach, very good restaurants, and fabulous ice cream shop. The house, which has several old-school beach house features, has lots of nice beach equipment (chairs, umbrellas, towels, etc.). Really enjoyed the pool table, the great Sonos system and nice day bed on the roof-top! Excellent hosts. Highly recommended!

What a beautiful home!!!

My wife and I spent five nights here with our five children. It was an incredibly unique and interesting place and so much fun. The proximity to such a beautiful beach was a treat! Our kids enjoyed playing pool, the technology was easy and well organized, the owners were wonderful in their communication. They left a very nice note with some treats and popcorn that was really nice for us when we arrived. There were no issues but it was obvious they would have done anything to make our stay enjoyable. The outdoor views were amazing and it had so many decks and beautiful views. The city of Encinitas is always fun. Check out our favorite breakfast place in the world - the 101 Diner.

Incredible beach getaway

Wow! we could not say enough good things about this property. Not only is it the perfect location, with incredible ocean views… but the owner and property manager went above and beyond in making our stay enjoyable. We had some extenuating circumstances and they were more than accommodating to help us out, and we couldn’t be more grateful for them going out of their way to make our lives easier (traveling with kids is never easy!) The house is beautiful, perfectly showcasing the true Encinitas style… and being steps to the beach with sweeping ocean views from every room is exactly what everyone needs when visiting San Diego. We loved it so much that we already booked our return trip! Cannot wait to visit this house again ;)

Ocean breezes

The property is in the perfect location! Very close walk to restaurants and downtown Encinitas. The beach is a few steps away so kids can come and go all day long and don't have to load up and drive. The house is on a few different levels and all the rooms have a spectacular view of the ocean and can hear the waves all night long. The house is well supplied with everything you need for cooking, and the garage is full of every beach toy/chairs/umbrellas and even a wagon which my daughter loved using! Only negative is the cabinets in the kitchen need replacing, even some with holes in doors. And the green wicker furniture in living room has pieces sticking up on the arms. The 2 decks were perfect to hang out or sit in the sun with the lounge chairs and the terrific lounge bed on the top deck! Our family had an amazing vacation, and Ellen replied immediately with any request or problem. We will be back next summer!

This is the BEST kitchen I've ever had at a VRBO. Everything you could possibly need. We cooked in most nights as the view was fantastic and we're not really into going out with the loud crowds. We loved the patio, just steps from the beach. Walked our 3.5 miles every morning, relaxed and just enjoyed. This photo of the beach in the literature totally explains the fantastic views.
