Enjoy the shore, with nearby state parks in Ohio & Michigan with beautiful beaches. **New bed 9.17.24**. Relax in a cozy, newly renovated house with vaulted ceilings in the bedroom & bath, and all the modern conveniences, 10 minutes from downtown Toledo nightlife, concerts, Mudhens Baseball, Walleye Hockey, ice-skating in winter, rollerblade in summer at Glass City Metropark, world famous Toledo Zoo, or Toledo Museum of Art, symphony, restaurants and shopping, yet nestled on a small peninsula away from the hustle & bustle. Bring your boat and use the boat launch a quarter mile away. Enjoy our spacious deck with a 2 person hot tub, or roast marshmallows at the fire pit after a day of boating, fishing or even snowmobiles in winter, or play board games and connect your smart phone to the stereo system, or watch you favorite prime smart tv movies.

Sterling State Park in Monroe, MI is 17 miles away and has a beautiful beach and hiking, birding, nature trails. Enjoy a family vacation or a fun weekend getaway with the best Toledo & Southern Michigan has to offer!

The newly renovated dock has a kayak launch & ladder for easy access. The water is deep enough for a pontoon, deck boat or mid sized speedboat. There is a public park and basketball court just a few houses down. There are 2 kayaks available for use. Please use life vests when kayaking. Enjoy the wading herons, waterfowl, and eagles. Don't miss this peaceful retreat.

Kitchen has filtered water, a Keurig coffee & tea bar, gas stove, oven, microwave, pots, pans, backing sheet, large crab pot, and everything you need for cooking, or use the gas outdoor grill for homemade barbecue. Front loading washer and dryer on the premises, with detergent and dryer sheets. house has central heat and air.

There are stairs at all entrances, not handicap accessible. Note that the kayaks and dock are not available from October to April. The bistro lights on the deck have been removed, but there are porch lights.

Vacation rental insurance is recommended. This is a non smoking, non vaping property. Please, no guests, fireworks, parties, incense or candles. capacity for this rental is 3 people.

Security cameras are on driveway and dock, but not outdoor decks, or inside. Any attempt to move or cover camera's will result in immediate eviction with no refund. Thank you.

Absolutely loved this place! Recently updated, stylish, clean and comfortable. We spent hours sitting on the porch watching the gulls, geese, ducks, egrets and herons on the water; very relaxing. Even caught sight of a bald eagle several times. Location is perfect with plenty of stores and restaurants nearby and easy access to I-75. Hosts are great communicators and check in was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Relaxing place

Great relaxing getaway

The property is simultaneously quiet and within a quick drive of everything you might want to do in Toledo/Detroit. We loved looking out at the frozen lake from the coziness of the hot tub!

Awesome cottage for a weekend getaway

Very clean, quiet location with a view of the water, loved the 2 person hot tub, exactly as described. Will stay here again if ever in the Toledo area.

Cute cabin!

I loved our stay- much bigger than the photos seem! Super clean and the perfect amount of amenities. Sad the hot tub wasn’t working but the host was more than accommodating in reimbursing us for that.

This property had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend away. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub and if it wasn’t so cold out we would have had a fire in the gorgeous firepit out back. We plan to come back during the warmer months and enjoy it all!

Eclipse Get Away

This beautiful, clean home was the perfect location for the weekend of the Eclipse. It was an easy drive to the Toledo Zoo, Kelley's Island, and a number of other great attractions. The hot tub was amazing after the day at the zoo!

Spotless and spacious

We enjoyed our stay in Erie! The home was very clean and had everything we needed. The hot tub was an excellent way to end each day. We loved the shower and appreciated that there was a washer and dryer. This is a great spot to explore Detroit and Toledo. Our family loved the proximity to Fritze Freeze, an ice cream spot. We would stay again if we were in the area!

Just what we were hoping for!

Our stay here was everything we could ask for! Tons of amenities, wonderful host, beautiful property exactly as described! We stayed for a weekend and ending up adding one more day because we weren't ready to go. This property is such a good deal and my favorite rental I've stayed in. We'd love to come back. Close to home

1 draw back really close to the neighbors. The house is small but expected as it sleeps 5 only has 1 bedroom so personally 2 was perfect. The finishings are well put together and the kitchen is perfect for cooking tuns of counters. The house was clean yard is small but again with just a few people you have enough room to hang out. I would definitely rent again and we live local!

Lovely place!

Nice cozy, clean home with great amenities. We enjoyed the hot tub on the back deck and the kayaks, the well-designed kitchen and bathroom, and the filtered water. Brenda was a responsive and helpful host! This is one of the few places we have felt truly comfortable as folks with sensitivities. Some notes for other travelers with sensitivities, keeping in mind that these can differ for different people- to us the bed & linens truly registered as scent-free! However if you have polyester sensitivity you might bring your own sheets. Most windows/doors opened and had intact screens. No air fresheners were used, and we did not pick up on any musty smells. If you have fragrance sensitivities you might bring your own hand soap, shampoo/ etc, dish soap and dishwasher pods.We hope other pet-free travelers with sensitivities will find this a safe haven as well.

Amazing!

I visited Toledo for the weekend and found this quaint rental on VRBO with a jacuzzi at a very reasonable price so I booked. Brenda messaged me the week before letting me know that the jacuzzi was out of service due to the frigid temps and she'd provide a full refund if I wanted to cancel in case it couldn't get fixed. I declined to cancel and just hoped for the best! Just prior to check-in she messaged me again that they couldn't get it fixed but they had delivered and set-up a new one at different entrance so all will be well. WOW!!! I am still in awe at how incredibly accommodating that was!! I see she has since updated her listing with the new jacuzzi and we used it both nights of our stay. I will be booking again the next time I visit!! More than likely I will come here first to check availability and build my visit weekend around that! The home is soooo clean and well-thought in every inch of the space. If you're considering staying here, DO IT! What are you waiting for?! Thank you again, Brenda!!

Fantastic Rental- Especially for anyone wanting to be on the water!

Brenda was so responsive and helpful. Checking in and out was so easy. The rental was well thought out by Brenda. Pretty much everything you need is furnished. Only negative was the fridge was not cold. It took over 24 hours to get cold. So we had to put our food in a cooler until the fridge got cold. Suggestion to owner would be to turn the fridge on a couple days before occupied. The ice maker works but it doesn’t produce enough ice. So we bought ice so easy fix. We rented due to having the boat dock. The boat dock was well thought out. It’s very nice. Plastic around the post is a brilliant idea. I used bumpers to protect my boat but to be honest I really didn’t need them due to the plastic protection around the posts. Very easy access from boat ramp. Neighbors were nice and helpful. Couldn’t ask for a better rental for the price and customer service at Lake Erie!
