Apartment with potential

The location was ideal, opposite the beach, twenty minutes from the Carrefour supermarket and twenty minutes in the opposite direction to the Medina and port. The complex was being fully renovated, which it needed. The apartment was very spacious, well furnished but the kitchen area was very small with a washing machine but no microwave. Both bathrooms needed upgrading as both showers needed repair. The main bathroom collected ants overnight but during the day was clear. The apartment needs some general maintenance for example some of the lights did not work. We did not have WiFi until the third day but Carina did keep us informed. Overall the apartment has great potential but needs some investment to bring it up to a more acceptable standard.

Agréable duplex front de mer

9 semaines d'automne très agréables dans Résidence soignée, arborée, piscine, duplex avec vue directe sur la mer. Le gérant, SLIMANE, très à l'écoute. Mais bruit du boulevard, réception TV en pointillés, 2 portes-fenêtres ne verrouillant pas. Nous reviendrons dès que possible !

J’avais réservé 5 nuits dans cet appartement afin d’y séjourner avec mon petit ami marocain.. j’avais précisé que nous serions 2, l’appartement était prêt pour cela. Je m’y installe, déballe toutes mes affaires… 2h plus tard mon copain me rejoint, il est immédiatement arrêté par le gardien qui dit ne pas être au courant d’un autre voyageur. J’appelle Slimane, qui m’avait initialement accueillie… il refuse aussi l’entrée de mon copain « car la loi c’est la loi », une sombre loi marocaine interdit les couples non mariés marocains (nous sommes un couple franco-marocain) de séjourner dans un même logement. Je lui explique que lors de la location on ne m’a jamais demandé de certificat de mariage (location immédiate) et que par ailleurs nous avons déjà souvent séjourné dans des hôtels et appartements au Maroc tous les deux sans que cela pose problème. Il ne veut rien entendre me demande de rester seule ou de partir immédiatement avec mon copain. J’essaye de joindre la propriétaire européenne,elle ne répond pas. Me voilà donc en soirée, en larmes,à devoir partir comme une voleuse, sans que mon copain n’ait le droit de m’aider à ranger. Nous sommes juste un jeune couple qui s’aime, qui a économisé pour s’offrir un séjour à deux et enfin se retrouver… et on nous a traité comme des criminels, littéralement. La suite est encore pire : à partir du lendemain je tente à plusieurs reprises de contacter la propriétaire et Slimane pour avoir une discussion au calme. On ignore tous mes messages, on ne daigne même pas me répondre. J’étais déjà triste et en colère le premier soir… mais ce manque de respect m’a achevée. Quelle hypocrisie de la part d’une propriétaire européenne que de soudainement faire appliquer une loi liberticide pour le peuple marocain. Une loi qui, encore une fois, n’est appliquée par personne ici. Notre devoir, nous européens, en nous rendant dans ce type de destinations moins tolérantes envers leur peuple, n’est-il pas aussi de participer un peu à l’ouverture d’esprit ? J’en suis convaincue, mais il semble que d’autres soient juste la pour tirer tous les avantages sur le dos des peuples. Quant au manque de politesse et l’ignorance, c’est intolérable. Bref nous sommes juste un couple franco-marocain qui s’aime et qui a été traité comme des criminels. Bref fuyez ce logement si vous avez un minimum de principes et ne vous fiez pas trop au photos des extérieurs et de la sdb qui sont mal entretenus et sales.

Review

There were many con webs on the ceilings, in corners, around the vanities in both bathrooms and so on. A good amount of ants all 4 days of my stay. I even ended up having a cockroach problem. The property manager was prompt and efficient when it came to deescalating the situation, but overall cleanliness needs to be looked into more.
