「The lodge was great. Room, lodge food, area activities. Suggest you do your research before coming because the desk personnel were of little help to answer questions on local activities.」

「The driveway was difficult to navigate with a lot of potholes. The room was clean and cozy, but could use more outlets and counter space. The bed table between the two beds was cute, but it was on an angle, so not real easy to utilize.」

「For the most part things were great. I did have an issue with the water being shut off while I was getting a shower in the morning. Parking was completely full and I had to park across the street by Starbucks. And there wasn’t enough table seating at breakfast. The options were either a large high top or couch level. So, either put little kids on awkward tall chairs or adults hunch over to eat their food at a coffee table. 」

「The hotel was a bit run down. Bed was super uncomfortable gave me a terrible ache in the neck and hips plus it was on a hollow metal box so if you moved, it squeaked moaned and moved! Pool was more of a sauna terrible for any person to enjoy. Shower pressure was super slow. Their great breakfast was not so hot. Standard at any hotel serving food. So probably not going to stay here again.」

「Staff is friendly and the rooms were very clean. The property is really run down. It seems they are working on it though. I could hear guests running around in rooms all night. It seems the walls are very thin. Also, there internet blocks you from going to certain websites. I'm not sure on safety There were run down cars in the parking lot and some of the guests appeared shady. The entire hotel is non-smoking but when I arrived one of the guests was smoking what smelled like marijuana in one...

「Stay away from this location. You can open the door without a key and some doors don’t even open. Urine on the bed. Mold in the bathroom and exposed wires. Oh forgot the ants. They do false advertising because there is no working pool nor do they include breakfast only coffee. And expect front desk to knock on your door at 10:30pm to verify if you paid for the room and a follow up knock at 11pm. We were supposed to stay 2 nights but felt so unsafe especially with our 13 yr old daughter we left...

「Stay was okay. Building was clean and everything worked well. Location was much further from red river gorge than expected, about 45 minutes to 1 hour 15 minutes one way to a trail. Bed was very hard. Hot tub was nice. Overall, decent if you dont mind the sleeping conditions and the drive but for us it wasnt worth the cost 」
