Altogether wonderful!

My family stayed in an adjoining property, La Chiocciola, owned by the same lady, Silvana - Silvana was amazing, she helped us find local amenities and even helped us with extra room. I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone as it is the best place I've ever stayed anywhere in the world! Everything was provided and it was clean and comfortable, and the setting is beautiful. Thank you Silvana for a lovely stay :)

Leuke, aparte accommodatie

In deze accommodatie slaap je gezegend. Het was vroeger namelijk een familiekapel. Het altaar is nog aanwezig. Voorzien van een keukentje met koelkast een gasfornuis en een ruime badkamer met douche. Het verblijf is lekker koel omdat het onder de bomen staat. De eigenaar weet veel te vertellen over de omgeving en probeert het verblijf zo prettig mogelijk te maken.

Beaucoup de charme et de caractère

Nous avons séjourné à la Cappellina durant une semaine à l'été 2013. C'est un endroit que nous avions choisi comme point de chute pour découvrir la Toscane. Situé dans un endroit calme, c'est un lieu atypique et de caractère, et qui est confortable. Silvana et Nilo, les propriétaires, sont des gens charmants et discrets et Silvana, qui parle couramment le français, est toujours là pour rendre service ou vous aider à profiter au mieux de votre séjour. Le village dispose de plusieurs commerces parmi lesquels de petites épiceries achalandées de bons produits locaux, un excellent glacier artisanal et plusieurs bons restaurants comme La Gattaliola sur la place du village (qui dispose à l'arrière d'une très agréable terrasse et dont nous gardons le souvenir gourmand d'antipasti très goûteuses) ou, un peu à l'écart, Al Canto del Maggio. Sans oublier les exceptionnelles pâtes aux truffes de l'Antica Osteria al Castello, à Lari, un village voisin. De là, il est très facile de se rendre en voiture dans les principales villes de Toscane (Pise, Lucques, San Gimignano, Sienne, Florence, etc.) comme aussi dans la campagne profonde de la région du Chianti. C'est un lieu calme et de caractère, idéal pour explorer la Toscane, un endroit que nous recommandons très chaleureusement et où nous reviendrons à coup sûr.

Séjour inoubliable

Chapelle authentique rénovée avec goût et soin dans un village sympathique à partir duquel il est facile de visiter la Toscane. C'est un endroit unique pour un séjour magique. Il y a plus d'espace que le laisse supposer l'annonce. La propriétaire qui parle français est sympathique et discrète.

"Nous avons passé 15 jours inoubliables dans le magnifique domaine chargé d''histoire de Silvana et de Nilo(les propriétaires).Avec un accueil plus que parfait!Nous logions dans l'' ancienne serre à citrons (la Limonaia),rénovée avec beaucoup de charme et de goût.MAGNIFIQUE! Présence de 2 adorables chiens Weiss et Trilo son père. Épicerie à proximité du domaine,pizzeria dans le centre du village, ainsi qu'' une gelateria à ne rater sous aucun prétexte,les glaces y sont tout simplement divines!Fauglia est un bon point de départ pour découvrir la Toscane,Pisa,Firenze,Siena,Voltera,Lucca...etc,ainsi que pour accéder à la mer.Encore un grand MERCI à Silvana et à Nilo pour leur accueil et pour le barbecue de poissons mémorable,GRAZIE MILE! We arrived and were met b...

We arrived and were met by Sylvana who was friendly and helpful. She showed us around the property and told us where to get supplies and suggestions for eating out. The chapel was very clean and tidy, the surroundings were exactly as described and facilities close by and more than adequate. The letting was in the perfect place to explore Tuscan villages, the coast and Pisa. The village of Fauglia was an easy walk and we could buy everything we needed for a perfect holiday.

"Nous venons de terminer ...

"Nous venons de terminer un séjour de 15 jours à Fauglia où nous avons été très chaleureusement accueillis par Sylvana, la propriétaire de ce lieu hors du commun. Nous avons séjourné dans l''appartement "la Nicchia" situé au rez de chaussée de la chapelle. Cet appartement a été mervelleusement restauré par les propriétaires avec des matériaux d''origine et meublé avec du mobilier d''époque. La décoration intérieure est originale et très soignée tout en offrant toutes les commodités du confort moderne. Il bénéficie en plus d''une terrasse privative très ombragée ce qui est très appréciable pendant l''été. Sylvana est une hôtesse très disponible et toujours prête à répondre à nos questions et à nos sollicitations pour donner des conseils éclairés tout en faisant preuve d''une très grande discrétion. Nous avons donc passé un excellent séjour chez Sylvana et Nilo et depuis notre retour, nous n''avons qu''une envie y retourner dès que l''occasion se présentera. Le village de Fauglia est charmant de plus le restaurant vaut vraiment le détour ainsi que la Gélateria. Ce village est un bon point de départ pour visiter Pisa, Lucca et Firenze ainsi que la côte de la méditerranée, une voiture est cependant conseillée. "

"Très bel endroit, accueil très chaleureux, chambres très sympas, un amoureux de la rénovation et une amoureuse du contact, trois chiens adorables, tout ceci a fait de notre séjour un pur délice. Le centre du village à moins de dix minutes à pied était un gros avantage. On a très bien mangé dans le restau avec la grande terrasse. Grazie mille. Very nice place, the room (La Limonaria) was a wonderful blend of rustic and refined. A warm welcome and more from Silvana and Nilo. Even without a car, we had a wonderful stay. The village restaurant, il Gattaiolo, is worth a visit for the food AND the boss.Grazie mille. "

"Nous avons séjournés à la Chapelle de Silvana à Fauglia du 01 au 08 juin 2011. Très spécial comme endroit, plein de charme et hors de l''ordinaire de dormir dans une ancienne chapelle du 18e siècle. Petite cuisine et joli salle de bain. Silvana est aimable et parle un peu le français, l''anglais et évidemment l''italien. La chapelle est situé sur leur terrain où Silvana habite avec sa famille un manoir. D''autres appartements sont aussi disponibles pour location. b Beau séjour, les gens du village sont sympa et il y a un très bon restaurant qui vaut le détour près de la pizzeria. "Die Kapelle sollte im So...

"Die Kapelle sollte im Sommer besucht werden, da die Wohnung sonst ein wenig kühl sein könnte. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Allerdings sind die Bögen neben dem Altar für Menschen über 1,75 m etwas störend. Die Kapelle befindet sich auf einem Grundstück mit einem alten Herrenhaus und liegt mitten im Grünen und läßt für einen ruhigen Urlaub keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben hier unsere Flitterwochen verlebt und haben die romantische Atmosphäre der Wohnung und der Umgebung sehr genossen. Die Vermieterin Silvana ist sehr herzlich und zuvorkommend. Fauglia ist ein kleiner Ort mit einem guten Restaurant (Fattoria di Davide) und dem wichtigsten für den täglichen Bedarf. Mit einem Mietwagen sind die viele Sehenswürdigkeiten und Städte der Toskana gut zu erreichen. Direkt vor der Tür befindet sich auch eine Bushaltestelle."

"Très agréable séjour dans la propriété de Silvana et de Nilo. Merci pour leur gentillesse, leur disponibilité et leur accueil. Le lieu est magique ! Nous n''étions pas dans les logements de la chapelle, occupés lors de notre séjour, mais dans l''ancienne serre aux citrons : superbe ! Tout était très confortable et le lit bien reposant après les grandes promenades en Toscane. Vous vivrez un dépaysement total, au milieu de la nature avec tout le confort ! Les commerces sont à proximité et tous les lieux touristiques accessibles rapidement. Une adresse à découvrir et à retenir pour y revenir très vite."

"Nous avons séjourné du 16 au 23 mai 2009 au rez-de-chassé de cette magnifique chapelle de famille. La propriétaire a été très accueillante et nous a fait visiter tout le site qu''ils sont à aménager. Les travaux sont réalisés en grande partie par son mari, vraiment c''est un très bel endroit. La gentille canina, la chienne de la propriétaire, est aussi venue nous tenir compagnie elle a une préférence pour les femmes. Charmant séjour."

"My husband and I spent a...

"My husband and I spent an idyllic 5 days in one of Silvana and Nilo's beautifully and lovingly restored apartments. Situated on woodland-grounds, they are part of the impressive Villa Negri. (One part was built in the 17th century and the other in the 19th century.) Silvana is a most gracious hostess. We missed the direct bus to Fauglia and so she picked us up at the nearby village that the bus had dropped us off. Our apartment was atop the main house where Silvana and Nilo live. It has a large terracotta-tiled terrace which provides a panoramic view of Fauglia and the surrounding region. We loved the apartment with its antique handcrafted furniture, cool stone floors and modern tiled bathroom. Access to the apartment is via an antique wrought iron spiral staircase which, though giving us no problem, might be difficult for those with mobility issues. That said, we enjoyed coming home and climbing the ancient steps to our "bird's nest" and having Tuscany at our feet. The village of Fauglia is a real delight. Life here is, as has been for centuries, peaceful, quiet and family-oriented. We found the locals friendly and welcoming. Across from our house is a delightful eatery, run by Juliana and Maurizio who do all the cooking on site. Their ragu lasagne fresh from the oven is to die for! An the church's piazza is an excellent gelateria selling homemade Italian ice cream using local ingredients. For art lovers, there is a little gem of a museum housing a local artist's (Giorgio Kienert) works in the village's former jail. All of this has made it one of our most memorable trips ever. We look forward to returning to Villa Negri and Fauglia."
