“Great place to stay with a gorgeous view. In town for a wedding in Fincastle. Close to groceries and food options, but tucked away in the mountains. Surprisingly spacious on the inside.”

“A very peaceful and beautiful getaway. Very secluded property with a lovely view of the river. Ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature. The house is well-stocked, very clean, and really cozy. The host is very thoughtful and even offered to drive me to various hiking spots. There is a very nice trail very close to the house if you don't feel like driving around a lot. I would plan to get groceries before arriving since the grocery store is a bit of a drive. Highly recommend!!”

“We love staying at the River Cottage when visiting family in the area. The porch and backyard are my favorite things about the cottage. It is so delightful to gather there for visiting, relaxing and grilling. The kitchen is large and a pleasure to work in. The beds are very comfortable. The owners provide many "extras" that often are not included in rental homes which is quite generous and convenient.”

“A group of retired couples stayed at River's Bend for New Year's weekend. We never left the place and had a fantastic time. Kitchen was well stocked, game room offered ping pong and pool, hiking right from property. The owner even took the trouble of getting 3 kayaks out of winter storage so that we could kayak on an unusually warm New Year's eve day! She was fantastic :)”

“Beautiful farm house, lovely views and we loved the cows! nice fence to keep our doggies in the yard and close enough to town if you need to get something.”

“Loved the location, privacy, and quiet surroundings. Everything was great, and the water was just like any other Sulphur water. It has a smell, but it works! Plus, there was a full bottle of water in the water cooler when we arrived. We enjoyed sitting down by the water and watching the ducks float by. We communicated both with Evolve, and with the local contact, and everyone was helpful and quick to reply. Would not hesitate to stay again!”

“This place is nice for walks next to the stream, you see cows horses and goats on your walk to the main orchard which also is nice to walk around. 20mins in the car gets you to a nice walk around a lake, or a decent hike up the mountain! Place is clean and hot tub was nice in the cool air, with deer on your lawn at night. Certain maintenance is slipping though, and it would be nice if these areas would be addressed as it makes the cherry on the cake, rather than biting into a shell left in the……
