Wonderful

Great, clean, well-equipped cabin in a very nice location. Feels very secluded but is also a convenient distance from everything in the area. Really enjoyed it and would love to come back!

We really loved this property. Close to Bellayre and only about 20 minutes to Plattekill. Very clean and quiet, no complaints at all. Will stay again if we get the opportunity!

Very Cozy Cabin

Great Place To Stay!!!!!!

This place with everything we hoped it would be and then some. Hosts were easily accessible. The whole hog theme of the cabin was a great touch. We were there to hike and found a ton of trails in the area. We would definitely stay again and recommend this place to anyone.

A Perfect Getaway

This was our second stay, but it won't be the last. The property is charming and cozy. It was too cold to sit by the outside fire, so we used the fireplace and it was perfect.

Beautiful cabin

The cabin is in a relaxing setting with views. We enjoyed using the fire pit in the evening. The cabin was very clean, comfortable and well stocked. My husband and I wanted to get away alone and relax and that is what this property delivered. Secluded but close to market, restaurants etc. The hostess Maria is quick to respond to any inquiries. Highly recommended!

Stayed here over winter break with my kids to ski near by. My family enjoyed the hog-related items in the home as well as the the hidden super heros all around the property. Everything was comfortable. Sunrises were beautiful and communicating with the owner was a breeze. Thank you for the stay!

farm country hideaway.

Beautiful spot from which to explore the Catskills. Quiet with very relaxing porch overlooking the mountains. It is amazing how we depend on a working coffee pot which crashed and burned just prior to our visit, but we improvised!!.

Wonderful piece of Heaven on Earth

The property was exactly as described and the area is simply beautiful. We saw many birds as well as turkeys and deer. Our favorite thing was waking up in the morning and watching the bunnies in the yard while drinking our coffee in the comfy bed. I appreciate the parking being out of the yard as it preserves the beauty of the landscape. Thoroughly enjoyed the cabin and parts of the surrounds areas.

Hog cabin delight!

We had a great experience with Hog Cabin. The place was clean and perfect for our family of 3. It was less than 10 minutes to Belleayre which was perfect as we were up there to ski! Maria was quick to respond with any questions we had. You will need to bring firewood if you plan to make a fire (and you will want to - it makes the cabin nice and cozy!) We had fun spying the hidden characters in the cabin as well. Pro Tip: Check out Tito Banditios in Pine Hill for delish Mexican (make a reservation)or Goatie Whites in Fleishmanns for Italian fare.mexica

Feels like home!

Thanks to Maria for opening up this warm and cozy cabin. We really enjoyed our stay, especially since we got to spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there, which made the whole experience even more special. Maria was very responsive to our questions, and the cabin had everything we needed. The hot water came out really fast and hot, which was definitely appreciated after a ski trip! The cabin is also very convenient to Belleayre Ski Resort. During our stay, it snowed overnight, and by the next day, the driveway was cleared, allowing us to get home safely. It's the little details like this that made our experience so memorable. We loved the fireplace, and my kids had a blast playing in the snow outside. We’ll definitely be back!

Fantastic Fall Weekend away at the Hog

The hog cabin is everything described on Vrbo, and much more! The cabin is super clean, and so well stocked that you don’t really need to leave to go out anywhere. The views of the mountains, especially now with the leaves changing, was stunning at sunrise and sunset. The deck was perfect for doing morning yoga. The fire pit is a great addition for evening fires. The beds are super comfy and the games Provided fun entertainment at night. The location is exactly what we were looking for as the property is secluded yet a short drive to some local spots and areas to hike. We will definitely be back again.

Mice

We were very excited about this property but unfortunately there are mice in this residence. There are numerous mouse traps in the unit, so it seems this is a known problem. We also had not received the check-in information and had to contact vrbo to get it. We did not receive check-out information either. Also note that the unit does not have potable drinking water. Water was supposed to be provided, but none was in the unit. The views from this cabin are beautiful and the owner has put time into the decor. However, the above two issues are a problem.

A few days away from somewhere.

(Ironically typed in all caps) QUIET!! Comfy/cozy. Super clean - one little problem with some food left by a previous visitor, but judging from the rest of the place, we considered that an oversight and not part of the host’s ethic. Nice spot! Nestled in the mountains and nice views from the property. Sunrise from the MBR, Sunset from the LR. Small cabin (778sqft) but it does NOT feel that way. Very well designed with nice flow and feng shui. The centerpiece is the fireplace with stove insert (it actually holds the house up!) and we made good use of that as we were there in cold/damp late March. Wraparound deck which we would’ve used more at a different time of year but I did morning a stretching out there in the sunlight. We were escaping greater NYC. Mostly stayed in, nestled by the fire doing writing, playing music, cooking, reading, and napping… and spying the superhero action figures stashed in nooks and crannies around the cabin. We did grocery shopping in Kingston on the way in, but the convenience-store sized grocery in the hamlet at the bottom of the hill had some surprising variety, and there’s an artisanal cheese store next door - the have a dairy farm nearby. Also a tavern there with music (although we didn’t avail ourselves of that.) They had a list of nearby to-dos that was nice if we hadn’t been such homebodies! And if you didn’t get it - it’s a good place to do that.

We had a wonderful time! The cabin was spotless, beautiful views. We enjoyed the area, taking a few field trips, or just relaxing on the property. Maria is a great house, responsive and a pleasure to deal with. Be sure to book this secluded restful cabin if you are heading to beautiful upstate NY. Btw 5g wireless was a blessing, was able to do a bit of business no problems!
