Wherever you're coming from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've prepared well enough. We've put together a list of handy tips that will get your Arame vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a stress-free experience if you take the right gear. First things first, you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant, toothpaste and a toothbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good novel. Next, leave space in your hand luggage for your electronic gadgets, chargers, medications and perhaps a comfy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Pointed or sharp objects, like your treasured pocket knife, and products which are flammable or explosive, such as flares, chemicals agents and matches, are also prohibited.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of a plane are not the place for a fashion parade. Layer yourself up with comfortable clothes and take a cardigan as it can get chilly inside the cabin during longer flights. Flat, slightly roomy shoes are always a good idea too.
- It's likely you've heard about DVT (deep vein thrombosis), a blood clot condition caused by reduced mobility or inactivity. There are many ways to reduce your risk. Wear a pair of compression tights or socks, stay well hydrated and move your legs and feet. Wander up and down the aisles of the cabin or perform exercises in your seat.
